Love this thing so far.
This is the third digital scale I have recently purchased...and the only one that seems accurate. It arrived last night so I immediately baked rolls to test it. The recipe gave both volume and weight measurements. I placed my bowl on the scale and tared it out. I first measured the flour, then added it to the bowl...it was spot on in weight. I proceeded to do the same with all the dry ingredients...including adding the salt and the yeast without using the tare function since they were such small amounts. Next I repeated the process measuring the liquid ingredients in a Pyrex cup with equally perfect results. Once the dough was ready to divide into rolls, I measured the total amount, divided that by 12 (the number of rolls I was making) then weighed each roll to the exact amount and it worked! I was not able to do this with the other scales. The soft touch controls were very responsive. One quick light tap on the power button even turns it off without having to wait for a few seconds. So, after only one session, it worked and I love it!There is one con I have. I wanted to order it in red, but, of course it only comes in black.

Great product
love Escali, the only thing is that the wet glass platform could stick to the weighed item, and almost fell down when i lifted a pot after weighing.

Oxo Replacement
This scale is a replacement for an Oxo scale which broke for no obvious reason. The Oxo was a bit heavy and I was looking for something easier to handle. I don't use this scale for less than 10g, this is a scale for e.g. weighing flour for making cakes or bread. Every measuring instrument has a useful dynamic range up to 10kg/22 lbs, hence is not great weighting 0.5g to 5g - that's the nature of the beast and not a design flaw. Overall, compared to the Oxo this is a in my opinion a much more practical scale for daily use compared to the Oxo, albeit the Oxo was better for very wide pots since it has not the Oxo display pull out option and uses a HOLD function instead.

Terrible accuracy, buy the 5kg P115 instead
At first I thought it was just fidgety or sensitive, that on some surfaces it measured very differently than others. I mainly bought this to measure more than 11lbs of grain, for homebrew. I have two other Escali scales that are *awesome* except the 5kg/11lb limit. This product is junk. Even on the same surface, a concrete floor, it is extremely inconsistent, and I have now realized this is why two batches of brew went awry: I used a good bit too much malt because of the bad readings this scale provides. I thought I had maybe not been paying enough attention measuring. But just now I had at least 4 lbs of wheat malt (based on volume), and it only measured 1 lb 11 oz. I measured 1 lb of another malt and when I emptied the measuring cup/bucket, it returned to 6oz instead of zero.In addition to the terrible inaccuracy, it also has buttons that are way too sensitive. If you literally just pick it up wrong, you turn it on and off. This is a pain for battery life because it easily gets turned on by accident when putting it away to store it. (Luckily, it does time out and turn itself off, so it doesn't chew through batteries, even with this flaw. But it's still annoying.)I have two P115 Escali kitchen scales, that measure up to 11 lbs. I couldn't be happier with those (though I wish they could measure more weight and had a larger surface to hold a larger bucket without covering the display). Buy those instead. Avoid this product.

Easy to use and accurate
I have never used a kitchen scale before. I must admit to some trepidation upon its arrival. It is super easy to use and I am happy to keep it on my kitchen counter at all times.

Works great. Would definitely recommend it.

Okay item
Measures well. Easy to use. I would have rated higher but the batteries wear out too quickly. It'll average about 2 months before the batteries wear out. And they aren't average batteries. They are watch batteries. Not something everyone keeps around the house.
