STATUS 2 Socket Cable Reel,10m Green Outdoor Extension Lead, Heavy Duty, 13 Amp, Thermal Cut Out Overload Protection, Ideal for Garden Power Tools,DIY Use, Workshop (S13A10MCR3)

very robust and solid casing which is great as i will use this outdoor a lot. It has a cut-out feature which puts your mind at rest. I actually love the colour especially the lime green flex very cheering when you unwind it to use also highly visible to stop people tripping over it. very well made and of very good quality, i needed a long flex so i didn't have to keep having flex hanging out of a window around my property so with this 49 feet flex it reaches all around my property with ease, wish i'd bought this a lot sooner. Also good for the price, would highly recommend....

Excellent. Rolls up well. Good cable length .

Case is a little flimsy and winding the cable in and out can be a little ticky but overall excellent value for money. Recommend

Excellent the wind winding and is really good for sockets would recommend

I find the cable reels that enclose the cable too difficult to wind due to wrist joint weakness. This cable reel is easier to wind as the cable is not obstructed and doesn't jam. The four sockets are good quality and 25 metres of cable can cover the length of my garden from the shed. I added some plastic tube to the handle and feet to protect the paint finish and provide some insulation. I would buy again.

Pros:* ✅ Four Sockets in One: Expands a single wall outlet into four usable spaces instantly.* ✅ Safety First: Built-in thermal cut-out prevents dangerous overheating and overloads.* ✅ High-Visibility Cord: The bright green 5-metre cable stands out in grass to prevent tripping.* ✅ Compact & Lightweight: Weighs under a kilo, making it incredibly easy to carry around.* ✅ Smooth Winding: The cassette design ensures quick, tangle-free cable management.Cons:* ❌ Reduced Coiled Capacity: Power drops from 3120W to 1200W if the cable is not fully unwound.* ❌ Not Waterproof: Despite being great for the garden, it cannot handle wet weather or rain.------------------------------🌟 Small Reel, Big Power: The Breakdown 🏡This compact green machine is an absolute lifesaver for anyone looking to extend their reach around the house, workshop, or garden! 🛠️ It packs a hefty punch by turning one socket into four, allowing multiple tools or appliances to run simultaneously without any fuss. The 5-metre length is the ultimate "sweet spot"—long enough to stretch across a large room or out into the patio, but short enough to wind back up in seconds without wrestling a tangled mess of wires. 🎉Safety is clearly a top priority with this design. The inclusion of a thermal cut-out switch offers fantastic peace of mind, automatically shutting down the power if things get a bit too warm under heavy loads. 🛡️ Plus, that high-visibility green cable is a brilliant touch for outdoor use, ensuring it won't accidentally get stepped on or caught in garden machinery. The build quality feels remarkably sturdy for something so lightweight and portable. Winding it back up is smooth and satisfying, neatly tucking the cable away into a space-saving cassette that slots perfectly onto any shelf or tool hook. Just remember the golden rule of cable reels: always pull the cord all the way out when running heavy-duty power tools to get that full 13-Amp capacity! ⚡ For everyday DIY projects, garden maintenance, or just powering electronics across the room, this heavy-duty reel is a brilliant, reliable companion. 🌟------------------------------

Accurate length, does what it says on the tin. Durable and compact.

As someone who constantly needs a bit of extra reach for various DIY projects, gardening tasks, or even just setting up outdoor lights, a reliable extension reel is an absolute necessity. I recently picked up the STATUS 5-meter Double Socket Cassette Reel, and after putting it through its paces, I can confidently say it's an excellent piece of kit for the money and perfectly earns its five stars.Positives:* Compact & Portable: This is a big win for me. The cassette design means it's super easy to store without tangles and incredibly convenient to carry around. It takes up minimal space in my shed, which is always a bonus.* Just the Right Length (5M): Five meters is a sweet spot for an extension lead. It gives me enough reach for most jobs around the house and garden without having excessive, cumbersome cable to deal with. It's ideal for powering things like my electric lawnmower, hedge trimmer, or even just setting up a lamp in a tricky spot.* Double Sockets = Double Convenience: Having two sockets is surprisingly useful. I can plug in my drill and a dust extractor simultaneously, or string up some fairy lights while still having a spare socket for something else. It saves fumbling around for another extension lead.* Crucial Thermal Cut-Out: This is the most important feature for me and provides immense peace of mind. Knowing that the reel will automatically cut power if it overheats (due to being overloaded or the cable not being fully unwound) is a vital safety aspect. It's a non-negotiable for any electrical reel I buy, and STATUS has included it perfectly here.* Sturdy for its Price: For what I paid, the build quality is surprisingly solid. The plastic casing feels robust enough for regular use, and the reel mechanism is smooth, making it easy to wind the cable back up. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap at all.Negatives:* 10 Amp Limit: While perfect for most household appliances and standard power tools, it's essential to remember it's rated at 10 Amps. This means it's not suitable for very high-power equipment like powerful heaters, welders, or multiple high-draw appliances simultaneously. You need to be mindful of what you're plugging in, but this is a specification, not a fault.* Basic Cable Thickness: The cable is perfectly adequate for the 10A rating, but it's not a heavy-duty, thick industrial-grade cable. For heavy-duty construction site use, you'd want something more robust, but for domestic DIY and garden work, it's absolutely fine.* No Individual Switches: Both sockets are live when the reel is plugged in. This is standard for a basic cassette reel, but some users might prefer individual on/off switches for each socket. Conclusion:If you're in the market for a compact, safe, and incredibly convenient extension reel for everyday household, DIY, and garden tasks, the STATUS 5-meter Double Socket Cassette Reel is an outstanding choice. Its built-in thermal cut-out is a major plus, and the dual sockets add great versatility. While it won't power an entire workshop, for general use around the home, it's a brilliant, reliable, and value-for-money piece of equipment that I'd highly recommend.

Gute Kabeltrommel in gelb für Camping! Allerdings nur in 1,5 Quadrat 3x Cu Kabel. In ausgerollten 25m ist diese aber nur bis 2,5 kw belastbar. Ansicht gute Qualität.Armin Skunde
