Lidar is easy to use
The product arrived on time. It is very easy to use and there is a web address provided on the packaging. I have managed to connect it to my PC with the USB to UART and works as expected. I have also managed to make it work using an Arduino once using UART and another time using IIC. I am likely to get a few more in the near future.

Works great, very accurate readings and customizable settings
Works great when you connect the wires correctly! Remember that the transmit pin on the device goes to receive pin on the serial-USB adapter, that messed me up because I'm a noob. The Benewake sample app works perfectly! Now I have to figure out why my Rust code is not quite reading the data frames correctly. I really like the PDF documentation from Benewake for the TF Luna! It's quite thorough. I have only tested the device in UART (serial) mode on Windows 11, not I2C yet.

Super Sensor mit fraglicher Qualitätskontrolle
Super Range Finder, präzise genug für UAV Anwendungen und funktioniert tadellos mit INAV. Habe diesen an einem Bixler 2 verbaut mit selbst designtem Schutz Gehäuse, um den Sensor beim landen zu schützen. Funktionierte auch bei Tageslicht auf Schnee tadellos. Für den Preis definitiv in Ordnung. Jedoch hatte das mitgelieferte Dupont-Kabel mindestens einen unsauber gekrimpten Pin und war unbrauchbar. Ich hatte 2 stunden Troubleshooting verschwendet bis ich zufällig noch einen identischen Stecker in einer Schublade fand und mir selbst ein Anschlusskabel gebastelt habe. Plötzlich funktionierte der Sensor auf Anhieb und keine Probleme mehr. Deshalb einen Stern Abzug wegen Qualitätskontrolle. Werde aber noch einen weiteren bestellen für ein zweites INAV Testmodell und mit den Entwicklern zusammen mehr Funktionen einbauen um diese LIDAR Sensoren effektiv zu nutzen. Für Automatische Landungen abseits des Startpunktes, ist ein Rangefinder absolutes Muss.

Very stable, pretty accurate
Bought to measure distance to obstruction/person on stairs in my house. Has worked perfectly for a couple weeks or so, without any false triggers I have noticed. I have it set to trigger an event when less than 5.5meters or so, and ignore more than that where people are walking across the landing at the top of the stairs. I am very impressed. Want to buy half a dozen more of these for various other applications.
