Be patient, take it slow at first. While doing it, watch a TV show. It helps,,,
First of all, I'm a paralyzed Disabled Veteran, so I won't miss lead you. I just received mine today. I first put it on, using the 4 finger technique. Now I'm doing a "military count", doing a "1 2 3 ONE, 1 2 3 TWO, all the way to 10, making a 30 count in actuality just to start out. Like any exercise I was a little slippery and clumsy. But after 3 or 4 sets I could already begin to do this correctly using 4 fingers. Next, I used the two finger technique doing the same type of count. You can really feel it in your forearms. Now I can't say for anyone else, but being military I improvise, I adapt, I overcome. In just an hour use, I can feel my fingers and arm loosening up. I'm not trying to play just yet until I get this down. Later this evening I'll play after my arm rests up. There's another way to stretch as well on the guitar. I call it "the finger walk up" by just putting each finger starting on the low E string, using all fingers and just basically walk up the fret board to the high E. Then slide up to the next fret, do it again. Keep going until the 12th fret. This also helps train your ears. What is helping me with this device is I'm watching TV, relaxing, and my fingers are just naturally playing with this, getting stretched while I'm watching a TV show. I've even took 2 fingers using the first hole and last, all naturally while watching TV. I'm watching a baseball game. By the end of the game my hand should be really flexible. Again I'll wait to play for at least 6 hours. I'll update once I do. But you can feel it in your wrist and forearm.

Finger stretcher is good
I have to do a 5 fret stretch. And this little gadget has helped me stretch my fingers while I'm laying in bed Or just sitting around watching TV. At first the finger rings hurt my fingers just a little bit But I put some cloth in my index finger and my pinky finger and seems to work perfect. No pain. This is well worth the money and it has been very instrumental in increasing my picking speed. I would recommend this item.

Fingers don't fit
This product should come in sizes. i.e. small, medium, large and possibly xl. I could barely get the rings over the 1st knuckle of my index and middle fingers, let alone the second knuckle. I can't say its garbage but it won't work for me. BTW, it is now unavailable on Amazon. Go figure. 1star.

Don't bother
Has screws on the finger rings to adjust distance. The screws use an allen wrench. The wrench that comes with the set is so small you could clean under your fingernail with, beyond worthless.

Useless item
This item seems great at first glance. Sadly, it does very little to help with the stretching of fingers. All you need to do is look up hand yoga.
