From the photos, this product looks like it has a clear back plate as well as the wrap-around bumper, but it doesn't. It an ultra-minimalist rim and about as minimalist as it can get. It leaves the entire front and back exposed. If that's what you're looking for, great. For me, this is not enough. I need the back of my phone to be protected from scratches. I keep my phone in my coat or pants pocket with other things, like a wallet and sometimes keys or various objects. Aluminum is very soft and scratches easily.The product is described as having risers that elevate the front and back off the surface, but I found this to be very insignificant. It's virtually flush on both sides except at the top and bottom edges where the case gets a little thicker. I do not trust that this will offer any type of drop or shock protection.Manufacturer provided review unit.

This frame is perfect for someone wanting a little protection but wanting to maintain the classic iPhone look or someone who wants to use pretty designer screen protectors. The frame case is simple but offers protection to the phone and gives it a better feel in your hand. It also adds a nice stylish touch. It is easy to put on and fits snuggly! It also adds a little height to the side buttons making them easier to use. I received this product for a fair and honest review.
