very disappointed. I love the idea, but the product has to be redesigned with better/stronger components.The first time I used it to press 10 cloves of garlic, the inside metal blades broke after the fifth piece of garlic. The blades literally fell apart and collapsed into the drawer below. I had to pull out the fragments of metal from the garlic slices. It looks sturdy but I didn't expect it would break on first use. It needs much stronger metal blades. They are way too flimsy. Being Italian, I need to have a garlic press that will work!

I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are chopping if it's breaking/bending the blades on this item; petrified garlic? It sliced through large and small cloves plenty good. I didn't have to place them especially carefully, either. Easily went through 3 whole uncut cloves of medium size without any trouble. The only thing I will say is removing the blades to be cleaned is a bit of pain the first few times: They REALLY take a bit of faith and a lot of prying to pop off! I was afraid I'd break something! But they did (fly!) off harmlessly and were simple enough to clean and replace. It will probably get easier the more I use it.

This is a great product!! I have arthritis in my hands and can't squeeze the common garlic press. When I saw this on Amazon I was thrilled. (I use a lot of garlic!) so I highly recommend this to everyone. Love it!

This thing is disappointing right out of the box. One of the lids doesn't close all the way, as if the hinge is sprung or the lid itself isn't shaped properly. Then, one of the cleaning grids broke in half the first time I removed it. (The cleaning grid is supposed to be taken out a lot, so its fragility is problematic.) It's an attractive product, and it does seem to do a good job of cubing or slicing garlic, but it's hard to clean because the garlic stays attached to the metal. Finally, note that this of course doesn't mush garlic in the way that a normal garlic press would. That's a feature of the product, not a flaw, but something to bear in mind when ordering.

VERY disappointed. Several of the blades came loose and/or bent when I tried to put only the 2nd clove thru the brand new device, making it un-useable. Sent it back. Will NOT buy another.

I love the garlic press. Easy to clean as the grid that presses the garlic has a protective piece that lifts out easily and prevents the garlic from getting caught up in the press. Only complaint is that the pin holding the lid on one end slipped out, and I had to snap it back in. Blades are strong and sharp. Great for garlic and shallots.

I've been looking for something that was easy to use and dishwasher-safe with stainless steel blades. This product was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I had been using a little garlic mincer that rolled on wheels with a rotating blade, but the minced garlic was difficult to remove from the bottom of the small receptacle and was surrounded by the blade. This garlic press has a little draw that pulls out which makes the garlic easily accessible. I also love the dual feature of this product where you can either mince or slice the garlic. It fits nicely in a kitchen draw and doesn't take up much space. Highly recommended if you like using fresh garlic like we do!

Just received yesterday. The blades aren’t popping out for me. Afraid to force them. Looks like it will work great once I can pop them out. I will rate again if this can be corrected.Any suggestions. Thank you.
