Celestial Seasonings Fast Lane Caffeinated Black Tea 20 Count

I really like this tea but it is not for everyone. I was worried by the inclusion of licorice in the ingredients but the flavor is not very powerful. What comes through primarily are the flavors of black tea, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It smells like a bakery and tastes unique but the biggest surprise is the caffeine content. Whoa boy does it back a punch. I am no stranger to caffeine; I drink coffee, yerba mate, & black tea regularly but this tea hits like espresso. It can be a little bit bitter but I love it with a teaspoon of sugar and a few drops of heavy cream. Also, the cover art is absolutely absurd. I mean what is even happening there? Some art deco Rocketeer-esque flight into the caffeinated & blissful blue yonder. How can you not want to wake up to a steaming hot cup of this madness?

I'll stick with Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder  Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder Black Tea with Maté, 20 Count (Pack of 6)  as my favorite morning caffeine tea but this stuff has some serious caffeine concentration. I don't like the flavor and cannot describe what it is, reminds me of black walnut cookies, doesn't remind me of cinnamon or nutmeg. But nothing about the taste matters, when I want serious caffeine, I choose this. I've got a cup steeping right now! The photo on the box illustrates the effect.

I bought this flavor first at the Celestial Seasonings factory in Boulder, CO - a few months later I bought this online. (it is not found in stores in US except for the factory) If you like the pick up of coffee but need a milder-tea taste, this is 100% for you. Good bolder tea flavor but not gross like coffee. The buzz is great too. LOVE THIS TEA!

If you enjoy caffeine you need to try this tea. They only sell it online and at the Celestial Seasonings plant in Boulder, Co. The college students apparently protest every time they try to stop making it. They take all the caffeine from the teas they decaffeinated and put it in here. If you don't like coffee or want to give up soda, I would definitely recommend this, I buy it regularly. It also tastes great, very flavorful.

I loved, loved this tea! Its unique taste,hot or cold, kept me going...I was drinking it 5 times a day...then I could not figure out why I was crashing mid afternoon? Too much caffeine dehydrated me & lowered my blood pressure...it was a shock. So I had to go back to green tea...sad, I miss it

I don't just buy this one for the added caffeine (whoch doesn't seem to be too noticeable), I love the flavor of it! No sugar or cream needed!

This does not work for getting a person going. Morning Thunder works much better.
