ChacoMen's Lowdown Sandal

Fits Properly on my Foot
I must have read a review somewhere to know about the sandals and buy them from Amazon. The price is reasonable and the shoes fit well, A minor issue is that the strap for each shoe hangs on the side and looks odd. One person offered to cut it, but I passed on the offer.

If u wear a 11 1/2 get a 12 that’s what I did and they fit perfect
I like these sandals very well they’re comfortable and fit great. I do pressure washing on the lake and needed a sandal that fit snug and these are great for that and have a good sole on them for even so small hiking I’m sure they would work or white water rafting. They have great grip with the stronger soles I’m very happy with this product

The perfect Chaco
These are basically perfect for me, they run a little large like all chacos I've ever worn. I primarily use them fishing and they do well in and out of the water. They're much lighter than original chacos and the footbed is much softer. Sole also provides great traction in wet or dry conditions. After some minor adjusting the sandal feels very secure to my foot, but there is a little excess webbing that will drag the ground. Still worth 5 stars for me.

Great arch support, lame straps
I have pronating flat feet, a little arthritis in my great toe MTP joints and Morton's neuromas. These have fantastic strong but cushioned arch supports and let me walk a long time without suffering. My heel lands a little lower than the arch so the ball of my foot and my toes take a lot less of the load, which keeps the problem areas from hurting. My main complaint is the weird, thin, ribbon-like straps that are all one piece kind of like a single shoelace holding them onto your foot. The strap loosens as you walk so you have to tighten it about every 5 to 10 minutes and depending on your age and agility that may be an effort. Most strap sandals have a toe strap and a separate ankle strap that don't interact with each other but this sandal just has one z-shaped strap that moves around a lot. I wish I could combine this great sole with a normal, comfortable strap arrangement.

Big dissapointment- Updated 6-24-2020
I heard such good things about Chacos I wanted to get one. Saw this pair mentioned in Backpacker Magazine and thought they sounded great. Wow, what a mistake that was. I don't like these at all. I can't believe I paid 85 bucks for them. I hate the strapping system. I hate them a lot. First off, the straps hang to the ground, dragging in the dirt, getting under the foot when I walk. They are also difficult to tighten because of where the buckles of the strap are located, on the outside of the foot. I try to tuck in the excess strap near the toes, that takes time. Even after spending five minutes trying to get the straps right, my foot won't sit straight in them. Plus, the front of the sandal is so thin it bends under my toes if I scuff them on the sidewalk. Very annoying and dangerous. All in all, this has been my worse sandal experience of my life. I should have never bought these. I'm stuck with a lemon.Update: Now the strap on left sandal has frayed and gets caught in the teeth of the buckle making it impossible to adjust. I think with it dragging on the ground all the time it got caught on something pulling it hard to the side into the teeth which ripped into it. I've pretty much stopped wearing them now, not much I can do with this terrible pair of sandals. I guess they rushed them to market to get them included in the backpacker magazine's best sandal award. Yeah, right, a sandal that wasn't even on the market at the time got rated number 1 by them. I should have known it was just a marketing gimmick and they probably paid a lot of bucks to get that award. I am disappointed in both Chaco and Backpacker magazine for not really caring about their customers but instead chose to profit with an inferior untested product. I hope this review helps others not get owned also.

Great new sandal
The lowdown is a great lightweight alternative to the Z1. Not built to be as durable in exchange for a bit of weight. Not rebuildable, but I got them for less than a resole on my Z1 classics.

They're great!
I don't usually rave about sandals, but these are really fantastic. They look great, fit great, and feel sturdy enough to stand up to years of world walking. Also, they were $25 off, and they arrived 2 days early.

Definitivamente volvería a comprarlas. Agradezco no traigan velcro.

Nicely contoured footbed, but narrower than Z/1
I had 2 pair of Z/1s, M10 and M10 wide. Compared to even the normal M10, these M10s are significantly narrower. Not suitable for those with wide feet. They are significantly lighter than Z/1s though, and the strap systems has its own pros and cons:Pro: allow heel strap length adjustmentsCons: shifts around too much, likely need to use thread and needle to fix the lengths once finished adjusting.Outsole is of a design more suitable for indoor use, which I guess are the purpose of Lowdown.
