Good modification
Seems to work good, definitely quite. Pumps out lots of hot air which must be good.UPDATE: I noticed when I first installed this the console would feel hot after a while of playing. I recommend pulling out/ cutting the blue wire if you really wanna cool of your Xbox, but be aware that the fan will be much louder. Without the blue wire, the fan runs at top speed drastically cooling of the Xbox; which is ideal for me as I can game for hours. After having this fan for about a week, I can literally have my Xbox on all day without the slightest worry; the air coming off it is just a bit warmer than room temperature. I've also modded my power supply, which also has a fan of its own

Pros, easy to install, housing pre-attached, moves more air, lights upCons NOT quieter, the original had a louder low pitch noise, where as the whisper has a louder high pitch, those higher pitches carry farther, and easier to notice. With the housing attached, there is no vibration dampening like the original hasIn depth: My original fan was having severe issues, even though the fan was running, it was not moving enough air to be physically felt or seen, as such any gaming session over 1 hour in a normal 72F environment would cause the xbox to freeze and need a restart, this whisper slim advertises 40% more air and as the name suggests, is quiet. Comparing agaisnt my original fan I would say it moves 250% more air, so to anyone who finds their xbox having such issues, this should definitely solve those issues. The lights are fantastic, switched out the blue leds for red, they just give a glow out of the exhaust port. The Housing being built and attached to the fan would annoy anyone who tries to dampen and minimize vibrations. On a sidenote, I wish they had better designed the housing to utilize the build of the xbox, there is an intake vent on the under side of the device (if standing upright) and I have seen external fans that use this port, but during the teardown I noticed 90% of that vent is blocked, meaning those fans do virtually nothing to cool the device.Difficulting of replacing fan is moderate, the hardest part is to remove the plastic casing without damaging it, but there are many tutorials that are easy enough to follow, however it will take a minimum of 20 minutes, if not an hour for those who are careful

Excellent product
Excellent! Arrived very quickly and was super easy for me to install for my son. He loves the blue color. Very quiet! We bought this when the other fan stopped working and gave us the red ring of death. Works as good as new now. Thank you!

Excellent Replacement
A noisy startup, but once its running its silent. Let me also say that this is annoying to install, which is no fault of the product, however considering the level of frustration I dealt with I figured a quick warning was called for, considering the fan is the VERY LAST THING you reach, but once its in and you have it re-assembled its fantastic! I highly recommend this fan for a replacement, however I do urge everyone to be careful, and seek help if you don't know how to disassemble your XBOX 360 slim and install the fan.

I purchased this fan because my Xbox slim was freezing every time I played any game, it was so weird because i've never had any problems with my Xboxs' since I got the Elite for christmas in 2009 and the Elite still runs like it's new, of course it's a little slower but anyways. I read reviews complaining about the LED's and I my self have never thought in my life about installing LED's. I just didn't want to risk messing anything up and was going to leave the Blue led's in there. But the Fan came with brief instructions about how to change them, and even mentions about cutting them to the appropriate size, but only "Pros" do that it says.Yes the blue ones are already in there glued in and Blue is my favorite color but I have too much blue in my PC fans plus I wanted the green to match with the Xbox lights. also I got lucky and my fan came with another order of tools I purchased specifically chosen tools to take apart an Xbox 360 Slim and it came with a sharp tool (don't know the name, will have pictures)now pay attention when they say that each LED has a 1 short leg and 1 long leg. because when you cut them( or bend until the metal breaks), you want to do it at an angle so that you still have a short and long leg. with the sharp tool (in that picture) I poked the blue LED's out from the inside of the fan and try not to damage the fan when doing, also pay attention when you take a blue LED out see which way it was put in the wire and look for the longest leg when pulling the LED out because that's exactly how you want to install the others the metal on the LED's also have these 3 lines right next to light and on the other side of the metals they don't. I also used the BLUE LED's length for reference so i knew how short to cut the Green LED's, its ok if it's a little longer than the blue LED's length because it'll secure more deeper when pushing the new LED's in and stick the new ones back into the existing glue that was in there if you don't have a hot glue gun.I gave it four stars because my xbox froze on the dashboard on first start up, and I thought the fan didn't work but i was able to play my games again after that first freeze, definitely longer than the original Xbox fan, and it really is quiet. Thank you!!
