I love these mats, makes outdoor grilling so much easier- don't have to worry about food falling through the grates into the flame! And meat seems to cook more evenly. The only 'maybe' con to this mat, I have used it many times over the last month, and this time the meat stuck a little bit to the mat; and was wondering if maybe the coating on the mat was wearing thin. Not worrying about that right now...overall, a great product!

Only used them a few times as there was always something foaming from the mat. Yuck!

It would be nice to have some instructions for use, especially since all the photos on the box show a grill with food but no grill mat being used!! Perhaps you are supposed to keep the mat in the box and just grill the food without it (as seen on the box)?!

I am giving this grill mat 4 stars because it does prevent small food from falling through the spaces in the grill. However, either through user error or that I have a completely unique grill it doesn't do exactly what it claims. They say you can grill food with grill marks without food falling through the cracks. I don't see how that works; the picture on the box shows the mat under the grill, but with my grill (a Char-broil) there is no way to position the mat under the grill and even if you did the food would still fall through onto the mat. So I used it on top of the grill which worked fine, especially for things liked grilled onions and peppers for burger toppings, but will not give you grill marks.You get 2 mats in the box which is nice, they are lightweight, clean up easily, and are easy to store, all good things. I will be using these mats for some things but I don't see how you might get nice grilled shrimp or scallops on them. I got a discount on the product for this review but I still think they give enough functionality that I would not have been disappointed at the regular price.

I have only used these once to grill as it is winter but they worked great and easy to clean. Can't wait for barbecue season!

Was very disappointed. When attempting to clean the self stick surface there were several areas that did not come clean....even after soaking in warm soapy water several times.

This is going to be a great, great tool for us. My husband is kind of... picky about grilled foods. He wants good sear marks, but doesn't like any other charred spots. He gets irritated with flare-ups, but enjoys using sauces and marinades. He loves grilled veggies, but it's always a royal pain to grill most and not lose a few between the grates. We eat grilled peaches with ice cream throughout the summer, but the honey glaze can easily scorch and become bitter. This product solves ALL of those issues. We've used predominately aluminum foil in the past, which helps, but it is easily torn, is fairly wasteful, and there ARE concerns over how much aluminum ends of transferring to your food (aluminum is strongly linked to several neurological issues, including alzheimer's). This has none of those issues.We had grilled venison steaks last night, and they came out perfectly. We had grill marks, but no burned edges. We brushed on the marinade, which not not cause flare-ups. It cleaned up in less than a minute with warm water and a cloth... no scrubbing at all. When the steaks were done, I lifted the whole mat, and transferred it to a tray for transporting back indoors. The tray stayed clean, and everything was off the (also still clean) grill grates in a snap. It's rigid enough that it doesn't flop all over the place when doing this,so your food stays put, but flexible enough to bend or fold as needed to move it. I'm going to do some Bleu cheese stuffed mushroom caps tonight, and this mat is going to be great. The filling always ends up making a big mess on the grill.There are 2 mats in the box. I can cover my whole grill top if I use both. I can also use them as non stick mats in a pan in the oven, or on the bottom of my oven to catch drips and spills (I would need both mats to cover the whole bottom of my oven)... I may order another set, just so I have more versatility, without having to move them back and forth. They're quite affordable, so that makes this an option for me.Bottom line: Quality product, great price, super helpful in so many ways.
