Doesn't work at all for my needs.
My primary reason for getting this was for 3D printing. I have a Printrbot Simple Metal, and the microSD slot on it is really hard to access, especially if you're printing small objects and swapping the card out frequently.I can say three things about this product, and they all neatly fit into my pros and cons list.Pro:Product arrived intact. No frayed wired, everything fits properly, including the push-to-release SD side, and the microSD side seats perfectly in multiple devices.Build quality on this seems pretty good for such a simple, physical adapter. Which is why I'm surprised that...Cons:It doesn't work at all. It's too cheap to bother spending time to return or replace.I tried 3 different SD cards, to rule out a damaged SD card. All three worked with my USB reader and none were recognized by my 3D printer when connected using this adapter. I then tried the same cards on a different reader, and again, there were no issues. Next, I connecting this adapter to my phone and two different Raspberry Pis to rule out the possibility that my printer has a quirk. Once again, no device recognized the SD card.Ultimately, I decided to just connect my printer to a Raspberry Pi 3 running OctoPrint via USB. The cost of this adapter, plus the cost of my time spent troubleshooting makes the Raspberry Pi a better option for my use case, even if I had to buy a new Pi to do it.

But once you straighten it up and leave it alone it works fine and it tends to stay where you leave it
No problems. The end that fits into the socket is a bit lose as others have commented and when rotated a little bit becomes cocked to one side and doesn't work. But once you straighten it up and leave it alone it works fine and it tends to stay where you leave it. I needed this for code development in an embedded system and it really solve the access issue to FLASH memory. We just have to be a little careful not to jostle it.

Durable and it works.
Works well and is well built built. Most that have thin cables will break on the edges, this won't. I'd like a shorter version better, but it appears to work in my tablet and gopro to let me use a 256Gb full size SD card. It also has a nice plastic case around the SD end and is long enough to insert easily into recessed slots.

Used in 3D printer
I bought this to use for my Chinese Prusa I3 based 3d printer, I was worried about the longevity of the micro SD card slot as you take the card out every time you want to load a print, also after building a box for extracting the print fumes the slot was hard to get to, so I got this, so far it works great. I double side taped it to the frame of the printer and can now use full size SD cards, much easier to work with.

Does what it says
Keeps my fingers away from the circuit board on the side of my 3D printer and makes the sd card slot easier to get to. I am using it with a micro-ad adapter and have not had any problems reading any cards I have put in it.

Printed a mount for this to attach to my printer ...
Printed a mount for this to attach to my printer. So much easier swapping cards now instead of using a micro sd card in the side I can use a full size sd in the front. The cable feels flimsy would be my only complaint but not an issue with the mount I am using.
