Not the original version, but still pretty fun
I was really hoping the recordings would be unchanged from the 80's version I grew up with, but alas--not so. But I'm sure it will form new childhood memories for my little one.I'm glad that my favorite song, "Nobody Likes Me", is still on there. Good to see they haven't sanitized the songs of anything supposedly negative. For heaven's sake, I have plenty of confidence, even though I sang about eating worms!Track Listing:1. Comparison of 2007 version to 1989 version
I am 32 years old, and have such fond memories of the Wee Sing Silly Songs on cassette tape. I have 5 younger siblings, and was talking to one of them recently about how much we loved that tape and would love to hear it again. I purchased the 2007 version and enjoyed it, but somehow it didn't seem quite like how I remembered. I managed to get my hands on an old 1989 cassette tape version and corresponding book and did a direct comparison. The recordings are exactly the same!!!!! Somehow my memory wasn't quite accurate. Only two tiny tracks have been omitted in the more recent version- "A Peanut Sat On A Railroad Track"- about 23 seconds long, and "It Ain't Gonna Rain"- about 38 seconds long, both are tracks that I didn't remember, even though I can still sing from memory quite a few of the others, so I don't miss them on the 2007 cd. The 2007 book has completely different illustrations, and verses 2 and 3 of the baby bumblebee song have been omitted (squishing up the baby bumblebee, and wiping off the baby bumblebee), but the sound tracks are both of just verse one and are exactly the same. I love, love, love these songs and can't wait for my 9 month old to love them with me!

Love Wee SIng music. Great classic songs for kids!
When my kids were little we had all the Wee Sing cassette tapes for in our car and also to play in the house. When I discovered that they are still for sale and on cd, I had to get them so that my granddaughter could also share in the sweet little songs like her parent did. What I always loved about Wee Sing, is that the songs are sung by kids. I would recommend ALL of the Wee Sing music. Parents need to let their kids listen to innocent kids music and not all the stuff that "they" listen to. Too many young kids are having their innocence taken away because parents don't want to give up "their" music and movies. I love the innocence of the these classic children's songs. Very sweet.

I sing, you sing, WEE SING
My mother bought this for me when I was in 3rd grade and my brother was in pre-school. We both loved it and would listen to it almost every day. I'm now in my 30's and I still remember some of the songs. I recently purchased it for my 6yr old nephew. Most if not all of the same songs I remember as a child but in more modern packaging. I think a lot of the songs are fun for a wide age range of kids. The book could be more colorful and appealing to younger kids. Even if they couldn't read it they could look at pics. Older kids that can read will enjoy having the words to read a long to and even the musical notes to play.

Loved the Road Trip
I bought this for my granddaughters by mistake. My daughter always loved this CD, but I had already bought one for her girls. My new neighbors have children ages 2, 4, and 6, so I gave them the extra CD. Their mother came over to tell me how much SHE enjoyed the songs as much as the children. The kids were so surprised that Mommy knew the words! It is a great CD to keep in the car. LLAP

Not as good as the original.
While the songs on this disc are mostly cute, they're missing a lot from the original version that my children loved so much. They cut the bumblebee song short and that was always a favorite that caused lots of giggling about the squished bumblebee. In place of the missing songs, they added a lot of Sunday school songs, which I'm fine with but would probably be better on a "Wee Sing Sunday School Songs" instead. I bought this for my grandchildren and I was disappointed. Apparently they weren't terribly excited about it either because they wanted me to turn it off at the end ("It's annoying!")and wanted our other silly songs cd put back in. That one they listen to and enjoy endlessly. If they ever release this as the original version I would buy it but this one disappoints.

My kids love singing along to these timeless
My kids love singing along to these timeless, fun songs. I am a little disappointed that they are sung by small children now instead of the adults who used to sing on the tapes I had from my childhood. Some of the children's voices make it hard to hear the words they are singing.

Just like I remembered...
My little sister had the tapes when we were kids- and we just loved them. I got this for my son for his 1st birthday- and he loves it. It has a mixture of Bible songs and silly songs (although all of them are silly!) He loves to dance and clap with the cd. It also comes with the song book- which he also enjoys flipping through, though simply because it is a book. I would play this on road trips- I imagine that I could handle listening to it in the car without going nuts!

Not as good as the original
I had this on tape as a child and loved it so got it on CD for my sons. Unfortunately the newer cd version isn't as good - most songs they only do a verse or two of instead of generally doing the whole song, and the new version is largely sung by American school children, which is somewhat grating to my ears (instead of two adults with English accents and pleasant voices). I wish they would re-release the original version but on CD - I still have the tape but the passing of time means it doesn't sound quite right any more.

Brings back childhood memories
I remember having this book and cassette tape when I was a child so bought it to revisit my childhood. Was really fun remembering all the songs, but was a bit disappointed to hear some of the words had changed

fun, nostalgic, but does have religious parts
I bought this because I loved this album as a little kid and thought my neice would enjoy it. Pros: she does love it and dances to it. Cons: I forgot how many of these songs are christian-related. fun for nostalgia though and lots to sing along to.
