Worked fine in Windows 10 and Xubuntu 24.04
I needed this pcie expansion card to go into an old desktop to enable front mount USB three plugs without additional Molex or SATA power connectors. This worked fine out of the box with Windows 10 and in Xubuntu 24.04. Note that there were no native drivers in Ubuntu Mate or Kubuntu. I did not test it with Windows 11. There is a small CD of drivers included.

Tech Support? Nah!!!
Worked perfectly right out of the box! Window 10 recognized it right off the bat and I was up and running in seconds. Self powered in my opinion is the only way to go. No searching around for an extra Sata cable! Recommend this product highly!

Bought it for EMI reduction
Overall for $20 this card is great for what I wanted to use it for. The USB ports on my computer mobo seem to have a bunch of EMI and I could hear it in the DAC. (D50S) However using this card helped to reduce the EMI a lot! It's not perfect but it's much better than it was. I would recommend this card for folks looking to reduce EMI on the USB dac input. I did take away a start because again it is not perfect but a vast improvement for me.

Nice replacement for damaged motherboard connector
I bent one of the pins on my motherboard connector, making one of the ports not work. (In my defense, it's in a really cramped location.) I don't really need it, but it bugged me having that dead port on the front of the case and this solved that annoyance -- plus added a few rear ports.

Added USB 3.0 to my low profile HP desktop
I bought one of those refurb HP Desktop business computers to run a Plex server on. Unfortunately it came with like 10 USB 2.0 ports, but no USB 3.0 ports. I was only getting 20 Mb/s transferring files to the server on a 1 Gb/s ethernet connection. I installed this board with its mini-slot bracket, plugged my two USB 3.0 drives into it, and fired up the computer. Now files transfer at 80-90 Mb/s, so I am a happy camper. Using Windows 10 Pro, and it was plug and play.

As advertised: Plug it in, start the computer.
This card only has two USB ports, but where my computer is set up I don't have easy access to the rear. It has a 19 pin socket to run a cable to a USB front panel, which I also intalled. So far everything works fine.

Could Not disconnect from Front Panel USB Cable - Broken After Use in First Build
After using this device for a year or two, I was attempting to reinstall it with a new motherboard (after my last one started failing) and was surprised that the receptacle for this card came off with the cable when I detached it instead of how it was supposed to come off. Afterwards, I was unable to put the cover back on without the pins of the card bending. It seems like the connection between the cable and this card was much too strong once connected initially - so much so, that it wouldn't detach as it should - so it's disappointing I couldn't use it with another build. I'd happily change my feedback if provided with a new card, but this does seem like an issue they should address or look into at least.

I had to return it
This card installed easily and worked, but after installing it, my PC wouldn't shut down. After I removed it, everything is back to normal. thank you Amazon for accepting the return.
