Great!
I just received my Grip Tips today and not a moment too soon. I’ve been struggling to get around as my crutches with Tornado tips that are quite slick snow and ice. The Grip Tips are very helpful at increasing my traction on the snow and ice. I question the durability of the product, I guess time will tell. They are easy to install without removing my crutch tips, they slip right in. It takes less that a minute to install them. I have 2” Fetterman Tornado tips and the ice tip is a little large, but not too sloppy to work. The rubber attachment straps do not fit the Tornado tips anywhere near the pictures in the instructions but so far they hold the grip tips okay. The tips are pretty flimsy and I really do question they’re durability. It is easy to change from engaged to what the manufacturer calls neutral position. That’s good because these things slide like marbles on tile or polished concrete. You definitely have to move them to neutral. The traction on ice is pretty darn good and gave me great confidence on the ice. I wish they were a little cheaper so they could be replaced as a wear item. I guess if they last me a winter I would find them satisfactory. I only have 1 day on them but I’d say that is buy them again. One month update: I’m so pleased with the Fetterman Ice tips. After several weeks of use on many surfaces they show no wear. The difference in traction and confidence is huge. They are fine on most surfaces including concrete. The one exception is tile or other smooth surfaces, there they super sketchy. Definitely a good purchase.

Complete Rip-off. Extremely Cheap
These are not worth the money. They are worth about 8 dollars based on the 3 dollars in parts that go into building them. They are a complete joke and are severely oversized for the foot of a crutch or cane. DO NOT BUY!!

As promised
It's hard to believe that no one's designed a crutch tip that has a simple lever on it that would engage and retract dull metal spikes with a just a turn or a twist, like a cat's claws, as you go from an icy surface to indoor flooring, but crutch tips undergo a lot of stress so doing that is harder than you'd think, I guess. Meanwhile, Mr. Fetterman's product will do. I live in a suburb of a Mid-Atlantic state city and the winter season of 2020–2021 was more harsh than usual, so these came in handy. Due to the pandemic, however, I didn't need to venture out that much during the worst of it, so I can't speak about their durability. It requires a little spacial reasoning to put them on initially (the illustrated instructions could be clearer) but once you do they're not hard to put on and off the tip, though you'll need to find something to lean on or sit in when you enter and exit. You'll want to pull them up your crutch when they're not in use, provided you have a forearm crutch and can do that, so they won't be a visual distraction as you move around inside.

Work great
Tried all the other metal types, and had to wrap velcro around the metal to keep them in place on crutches. Spent the extra money for these, so far they work great. It’s been icy in Maine and these are very sturdy for my granddaughter who is an amputee. Price is steep but better than spending $11.00 every few weeks for the other common style. These work better on crutches by far.

Tips were good in some respects but not helpful to us
The tips are a good idea but will not fit over the gel tips we purchased from Fetterman so you have to switch out the tips for regulars when you want to use the ice grips and then the regular tips are very prone to slips and falls on wet floors when you go inside. They just were very inconvenient in our situation to have to keep switching back and forth. They should make them to be compatible with the gel tips they sell. I feel I wasted my money on this purchase.

User beware.
These need to come in different sizes. They are so big for my regular cane tips that they slip and slide sideways and are quite dangerous. One has to be very careful when using the tips so that the grips are centered under the cane. Also, the grips are too far apart. They need to be closer together.

Not as clever as it looks!
The pins are spaced too far apart. Only the center pin is under the cane tip and the others just deflect because it is all plastic and flexes. The single pin looses grip on ice too often. The fit is loose enough so you can flip it out of the way indoors BUT it can also flip off the tip on it’s own leaving you with out any traction aid by surprise. Not a safe device in my opinion.

Great traction, but Does not fit standard issue crutch tips
After knee surgery 12/4 I am required to be on crutches for 6 weeks. As you can imagine, living in the PNW, my fear of winter weather and crutch became quite real. The first day I went out it snowed 3 inches. These these rocked.IMPORTANT: this won’t work with standard issue crutch ends. I bought the fetterman tips after, and they are well worth the extra too
