great set, but...WARNING: READ THE AGE LIMITS!
First off let me start by saying that I am currently 28 years old (clearly well beyond the 12 year old age limit of this set.) As a young child growing up in the 90’s I was quite an avid Lego collector/creator. Towns, houses, trucks, and cars, were my specialties… I had the Lego catalog, the Lego magazine, and frequently took pictures of my creations with my mothers 35mm camera. Lego’s were ‘my jam’ so to speak…Recently, In an attempt to keep a stockpile of toys for friends and family members children to play with at my house, I bought this set on Amazon, as the price was right and seemed like a good value. However I could not image what my future would hold…When the box arrived on a weeknight, I set it to the side, having regular mundane “adulting” to do such as walking the dog, emptying the dishwasher, getting dinner around and the like. After these items were complete I sat down, the box to my side, shrugged my shoulders and opened it up, just to make sure everything was as it should be. The images on the front were immediately enticing: the minifigs having a grand ol’ time grilling weenies and playing fetch with their pooch. “ I should just check to see if the set has all the pieces….you know for the kids that come over” I told myself -unaware of the path I was about to spiral down. The set was simple to construct-I mean I do have an art degree under my belt, coupled with my many years experience playing with Legos, it took all of 15 minutes to put both the car and camper together. However I craved more… Immediately after putting the set together, I goggled other Lego sets, and in my years without these tiny colorful bricks I discovered that I have been missing… missing A LOT. More colors were introduced like teal and orange and purple, there were Simpson sets, updated city sets, and even new road plates! As I found them, I couldn’t resist-I had to buy them all! First it was just a classic set, again telling myself “its for the children that visit our house” but I knew then I had an itch that couldn’t not be scratched. Quickly after realizing that the classic set was not enough, I bought the supplementary window and door set, more city sets, and sets that only had minifigs.I spent most of my savings trying to fill a void with tiny plastic pieces...But it was never enough, much like any addict I had become desperate. Out of money, I hit my parents up… “can I take a look in your attic?” I said as I twitched and scratched my neck. Not knowing at the time the extent of my addiction they let me venture up to the dusty and hot top floor, and it was then I found my vintage Legos …brought them home, an put all 15 sets back together again. It was at that point I became OBSESSED. Every waking moment was spent playing with, building, researching and buying Legos! I needed to make the town I always dreamed of as a child, but bigger and better than my limited imagination at the time even thought of. I couldn’t stop until it was complete. I took days off work, our living room became a Lego town that no one but I could touch. My husband would come home and I would be hunkered over the hundreds of little pieces, un-showered and disheveled, frantically trying to find “that one piece I need”You can image how the story goes, as any addict will tell you , the world that I knew came crashing down around me. I lost my job, I almost destroyed my marriage, and I became a hollow empty shell with a craving that would never be satisfied- all because I did NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE AGE LIMIT OF THIS SET.***EDIT: it’s been a few months, and I’m happy to say I’m clean and sober. It’s been 2 months since I have touched or built any Lego set. I got my job back and am repairing my marriage. I hope others can take away something from my horrible experience. This was a great set, just only for people (children) ages 5 to 12!!!! Don’t do what I did -PAY ATTENTION TO THE AGE LIMIT!

Some Unique Pieces Here!
Oh this set was a hit! It was much cheaper here than at the stores... Why pay $10 more at Toys r us??? That is enough for another Lego set.The building of this was really good. It came with 2 booklets and our 7 year old had it built within about half an hour. There are some rare pieces that he did not have so he was very excited about this one because he is a Lego collector. He has watched the Brickumentary so many times I cannot even tell you how many. So he never had dog bones, this set comes with 2. He also did not have hot dogs, it came with 3 hot dogs and a grill to cook them on. The dog that it came with is a less common printed one as well, it is a German Shepard and the colors are very nice. It was also his first van to add to his collection which is nice and it has enough space inside for 2 figures and the dog to fit. Overall an awesome addition to any collection.

Great set with lots of playability.
Great LEGO set... this set comes with everything you need for a fun weekend. The two different vehicles are fairly detailed, and the grill with meat is for sure a two thumbs up. The family pup is also a nice touch. As you can see in my pictures, the set makes a wonderful addition to any LEGO city scene. This set has also been selling for under $15, which makes the piece to price ratio very positive. I give this set a buy rating and think it's a must-have for your LEGO collection. If my review was helpful, please consider clicking 'helpful' below. If you have any questions about this LEGO set, please don't hesitate to ask.Happy bricking.

A Good Intermediate Set
We have had a lot of fun with this set. It has movable parts to load and unload, blue van drivers and passengers, and trailer camping activities. Grandpa put the set together initially, with minimal help from grandaughter. Our granddaughter then took over play acting with the mini people, the trailer hitch, opening trailer, and blue van. She particularly enjoyed figuring out the trailer locking mechanism and van/trailer hitch process. She then became a reckless big blue van driver with many trailer accidents. Some of the pieces in this set are very small, but overall, the pieces are larger than the smaller sets --- easier for a 3.5 year old to assemble/disassemble.

Fun way to bring Mario to LEGOs
The Lego Super Mario Starter Course comes with the interactive Mario figure, some enemies, interactive blocks, and enough pieces to build plenty of obstacles to create your own Mario levels. The Mario figure interacts with your creation, talking to you and playing music, collecting coins, making faces, etc. It uses bar codes on special blocks to determine if Mario is facing an enemy or special block (like a ? block or flagpole). It recognizes green blocks as grass, red blocks as lava, and blue blocks as water. So you are able to use your own Legos to create your own obstacles, and the Mario figure will recognize them if you have the same color blocks already. You can reconfigure the course any way you want, so the only limit is your imagination. The set requires the Super Mario Lego mobile app on a separate device. It comes with no paper instructions, all of the building instructions are within the app. The Mario figure must connect to the app via Bluetooth, so it requires GPS location services on (which is a problem with my child's Amazon Freetime account). The app allows you to take pictures of your creations, save them to rebuild later, share with others when you sign up for an account, etc. Because the app is required and its features cannot be turned off, I feel the toy is not suitable for young children to use unattended. Perhaps it should be rated 12+ instead.
