Best Of Its Class
I have been very interested in these types of game consoles for the past couple of years--this is the fourth one that I have bought. They have all been under $30, and they are all the same style housing.Between the language support, intuitive game play, and massive selection of games with few duplicates, if any--I haven't noticed any yet, though I only quickly scrolled through once. What I did find was most of the most popular titles and franchises with all of the series; some of them are even beyond what was commercially available here in the states in the eighties and nineties.I grew up with these games, and they are all true to the original with one notable exception--NO CARTRIDGES! If only the kids of today knew the voodoo rituals that we devised to get those infernal torture devices to work much past their first birthday. 500 games, all inside a unit that is lighter and snappier than the original. The battery is good but there are better ones for cheap on Amazon, but this is a super value at roughly $20, which is cheaper than the original cartridges used to be at the contemporary prices. The speaker is loud and clear, the screen pristine with the 16-bit graphics roughly the equivalent of Gameboy Color, which is what I think was the original mod for all of these games. It supports French, German, English, and I assume Mandarin--I'm not really sure as I am not familiar with their written characters. The games seem properly named, but unfortunately they are not alphabetical, at least not in English. The order may be more linear in one of the other languages for all I know, and after a while I am sure that I will get used to where to find whatever game I happen to be into at the moment, so I really don't mind that much, it would just be better if the order of the list made more sense. But overall this is an insane value for what it does, and would make a great gift for a gen-Xer, and I bet if your kids aren't TOO spoiled they will probably enjoy them quite a bit as well. I give it five stars as a gen-Xer that still can't wrap his mind around the fact that I am actually living in the future! :D

Alot of repeat games and controls not son great
It works and has some decent games but alot of repeats and the main games I wanted are either not there, or do not load up, or is some other knockoff game when you do load it up. Controls can be wonky and alot of the games controls do not function and alot are in chinese. Not ideal for me anyway.

BUY THIS ITEM!!!!!!! WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!
This item is great! I am 12 years old and I am getting it for a friend for a gift. Right when I saw it, I knew he would love it. It has a TON of games, including Mario! When I got it in the mail, I opened it up immediately, thinking that I would need to charge it. I put the battery in it, and it turned on right away and I started the play a game. The graphics are "old school", which is really cool. I also like that it has an extra controller so that you can play 2-player games. It is small and portable, so it will be great for road trips. It also feels like high quality plastic that won't break easily. It is a perfect present for boys, girls, adults, and old people. Over all it is everything I wanted. My friend is going to love it. I would deffiently buy this again, and am saving up to get one for myself.

Some duplicate games
I gave this to my gf as an early Christmas present. She loved games and was super excited to get this. She said is has some games on it that she hasn’t played since she was a kid. She’s 32 for reference. So far the only downfall is that there are duplicate games. They are in there under a different name. For example, there is a second Super Mario Bros but it has the title of a Toy Story game. I’m sure there are more that we just haven’t found yet. I would still buy even having known this since it is such a great deal.

Great for traveling
So far this has been a really cool game boy like console. There are plenty of games to choose from although a few games seem to have different skins. I remember around a dozen of the games from when I was a kid, however the other ones are still fun to figure out. I use this the most while traveling and the battery life has been really good. The most I have gone without changing it is about 5 hrs but I still haven’t let it die yet. The controller doesn’t work for all of the games but does work for most. I don’t really use it, mainly to save space in my bag. All and all it is a fun nostalgic console to play!

Imponigic Handheld Game Console Retro Mini Game Player with 500 Classic FC Game
Pro:- Good battery life- Quick startup- Display is bright,- 4 buttons layout- Reset to go back to main menu- Buttons responsiveness are ok- Additional Controller for co-op and verses- Moderate source of entertainmentCon:- Most of the games (roms) are mods (not originals) and they are mostly gameboy versions or nes (excitebike).- Some games have screen tearing- Useless 4 button layout, games do not make use all buttons- D-pad is not responsive enough for fighting games- I wish to be able to replace installed roms with other gamesOverall it is just ok for the price, I was hoping for more main line games titles.

Good games, a lot of duplicates and homemade games though
There are a few good games, there is Galaga and Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3 which i really enjoy. You really have to treat this thing with care, it's very lightweight and not meant for durability. Most of the standard Mario games are just horrible knock-off's.

It's an ok system for kids, but I am a purist so the glitches bugged me
My kids loved this system. But I grew up playing these games and they did not work exactly the same way as on the real console from years ago. If you aren't picky, this won't bother you at all. But I'm picky. The controller didn't appear to work at all. I am not sure why it was included. Other reviews said it only worked for certain games but I couldn't find any game where it was usable. I exchanged the item and the second remote didn't work either so I'm guessing it just doesn't work OR I don't know how to make it work. There were no included instructions to explain this issue. The game itself seemed cheap (obviously) but the sound was surprisingly loud (you can control volume) and it was fun.But since it didn't work as intended, I couldn't give it very high marks. But for the money, it's fine.
