This is not a practical guidebook, way too detailed
2 stars for the level of detail, this book is 660 pages long, but in effect unless you already know what you want to see and do, it is useless as it is so detailed and there is so much information, you would need to study the book for about 2 months before you would have any idea what you wanted to visit. For example, there is a 'don't miss' section for Tokyo which is just a massive paragraph of text, being a list of sites, not split out, just separated with commas, with no reference to the page the descriptions are on - who on earth thinks this is a helpful way of presenting information? As I said above, effectively useless as a practical guidebook.
