Pleasantly surprised and actually impressed, especially at this price point.
So far, 5 stars! I have had the unit a few days and washed about 5 loads of clothes. Assembly was easy. Hooking it up to the water supply was also easy. Selecting a wash cycle super easy. The lint trap really works (which makes me wonder where the lint in my HE machine is going, since there is no filter on my other machine). The soap dispenser is nice.Consider this u it when full the size equivalent of a medium size load in a regular automatic machine. The water moves in a vigorous manner and I am pleased with how clean everything I have washed so far has turned out.A couple of tips:I quickly learned with my first load that you reallly don't need much detergent at all. And using too much detergent means a need for a lot of rinsing. HE detergent works well. Use the lowest amount in the cap for a full load. Cold water rinses suds better than warm or hot.I did a load of towels that came out great. I have also washed business casual pants, jeans, underwear and socks, and t shirts. All came out great. The unit seems well made but I will try to update this review ongoing, relative to durability. The unit does not spin out water, so you will need to either hand wring or use a water extracting spinner/dryer. I hand wrung my items, hung them out to dry and several hours later put them in my regular dryer for full drying and to fluff. I have order the Nina Soft spinner and will see how that works in combination with this unit. I will review that item after a few uses as well.So overall, good unit for anyone who either wants a second washer, or has a small home or apartment, or someone who is single and really doesn't have much laundry, say compared to a large family.Update: December 9, 2016Still quite happy with this washer. I have found that some items like long sleeves and pant legs do get tangled up a bit, but it has not been a problem in terms of the items getting clean. And I have had no damage to any clothing. I have had the sleeves on some lightweight sweaters get stretched out, but they returned to normal shape when dried. I have since purchased some mesh laundry bags (very inexpensive) and have found those to work very well for the lightweight sweaters I mentioned, as well as my rayon and no iron dress pants. I would recommend using those for anything that may be fragile or would require a gentle cycle in a regular washer. I find I use the normal cycle with the soak the most. So far so good! I did purchase the Nina Soft spinner and it is a great addition.

Large bin, water flows only one way
This machine was surprisingly big. It fit a decent amount of clothing but since it only flows one way, the clothing get very knotted up. I would have to stop mid-wash to loosen the items. Long sleeves and jeans are the worst.Assembling the thing is easy enough but the materials are cheap and you'll have to readjust regularly. Make sure you keep the lid down or you risk splashing water around.

LOVE this Machine!
I just got this today, and had it up and running immediately! With the machine, a huge tip is to watch the assembly video from Thomfoz.....it is truly worth watching. Also, a tip to avoid the "water drained on the floor", just make sure the drain hose is SUPER attached to the pump. I live in an apartment as well, so this thing is set to save me about $500 a year in laundry, plus I also got a Nina Spinner, and the two knocked my laundry out! I did one load which was 2 pairs of jeans, 4 t shirts, 2 nightgowns, 3 underwear, 2 pairs of socks, and this machine trooped right through them with ease and cleaned really well. Also, the capacity is HUGE!!! I can finally wash my sheets in my apartment instead of spending 7.00 each weekend on just those alone! Woot Hoo The only issue I have with it is the input water hose, it does not fit the drains too well, but if you use this, make sure to keep ALL of the metal clips that come in the package. These can be used to fasten the hose to the faucet much better. All in all, this is a sturdy machine, it cleans great, cleans quite a large size of clothes (I'm single so my weekly load is about 6.5 lbs to the dot), and such a great value and I highly recommend! In addition, loving Laundry Alternative, I'm also a camper, so will be back to purchase the smaller miniwasher too! Thanks again!

GREAT LITTLE MACHINE
The media could not be loaded. ย What a great little machine. I have been using it for a month now and boy does it really clean. I live in small apartment and have no mode of transportation and this is all I need. I already have The Laundry Alternative counter-top spin dryer for hand washing clothes. Now I no longer have to hand wash. This machine rocks as in it's cool and great. I did not realize how much I was not getting clean by hand washing till I used this machine. I have washed regular clothes, towels, queen size set of sheets and even a blanket and the machine just kept on doing its job. The machine does make a little noise, but I have a 5' x 7' rug in my kitchen that cuts down on the noise. I did have to ask The Laundry Alternative a couple of questions, and within a day or less, they had the answer that I needed. I am in my mid 60's and have no problem moving it from one place to another. I actually have a space in my kitchen that it sits in when not in use.
