Plantation Organic Blackstrap Molasses, 15 oz (1)

This is exactly what I wanted. Organic and unsulfurred. Tastes good and it came packaged very well so no breakage.

I have NEVER liked molasses but needed to find a way to get more iron into my body. I had heard that blackstrap molasses was the best to take so I purchased Plantation based on an article I read online. I am here to tell you, this stuff is sweet rather than sharp and bitter. I add my daily tablespoon in my morning coffee to sweeten and it is delicious! I could probably eat the tablespoon just by licking the spoon but it is very sweet and I've been off white sugar long enough that too much sweet is a horrible taste to me. This works perfectly. I just use the stronger stuff for my baked beans - this is perfect for "medicinal" purposes! If you need more iron, I'd recommend this. If you don't like super strongly flavored molasses, this is one you'd like - not too strong, good flavor, sweet, and good for you!

Yes it did what I respected

Poor quality! This has to have water in it or something else to think it out because it is too runny to be solely blackstrap molasses. I usually buy a different brand but thought I would try this one since it's in glass and I prefer glass. But, it is MUCH THlNNER than blackstrap molasses should be and even thinner than the dark molasses I have on hand. Just in case l was mistaken in thinking blackstrap should be more viscous (thicker) than dark molasses, I Googled "Which is more viscous dark molasses or blackstrap molasses?" Blackstrap molasses is more viscous (thicker) yet these 2 bottles which are supposed made of solely organic blackstrap molasses pour easily, and are much less viscous than my bottle of dark molasses. Why is that, l wonder? The only answer I can come up with is someone has either added a cheaper type of molasses or they've added water to it. There's no other explanation. l am not happy about it. l will not be buying this brand again. Note to Plantation: If you're using another company to make and/or bottle your molasses, you should audit what they're doing and interview the workers for changes (like added water).

I had my doubts about this stuff, especially with the reviews that say this stuff tastes like licorice. Gag. I HATE licorice lol. It doesn't taste like licorice AT ALL!! I think it actually tastes like prunes, not my favorite flavor but very tolerable! I mix mine in some raw milk, but I have tasted it in coffee as well and it's an awesome balance to the bitter tones! Will definitely buy again, it's also a fantastic way to replace coffee if you're trying to quit, it's full of vitamins and minerals to help you feel more alert than coffee, and without the caffeine crash. Thanks for a great product!!

Start drinking this .. (not amazing tasting) stuff and here's what will happen. You won't get pimples AT ALL, your hair will grow way faster, you will have way more energy and you will be in a good mood.. oh and PMS .. not a thing anymore. No joke. I run out and I NOTICE the difference withing a week. I do a lot of "health" things .. all organic, all natural to try to look nice and feel good. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVS!!!! The ONLY way I can stand it is in coffee. I didn't even drink coffee before I started taking this. But I tried it in everything else and it's unbearable. A tablespoon in a cup of coffee (I have two tablespoons (two cups of coffee) a day works well and doesn't taste awful. Takes some getting used to but totally doable. They say that you can reverse grey or not go grey with long term use. I haven't found a grey yet, I am 35 .. so we shall see. I would be very interested to know if anyone actually reverses grey hair with this.
