Don't buy the extension kit.
I have 23' of ducting with 2 90 degree bends. I bought the kit and the four extra extensions. Easily cleaned the ducts with no problems. Two tips: Read the instructions. And, if you need the extension kit, don't buy it. It costs $3.00 more than the 10 piece cleaning system. The extension kit is just 4 rods, identical to the 4 rods in the cleaning system for more money (?).

Excellent Dryer Duct Cleaning tool - A must have
Same write up as follows that I included for the Deflecto Dryer Duct Cleaning Kit: This worked well for me. I have a washer dryer setup that is located in the center of the basement. In other words, a long runt to the outside. I also have several 90-degree turns until I get to the straight run portion (roughly 16'). Not wanting to force things I worked my scenario from both ends (inside out, and outside in). I pulled a lot of lint out of the dryer vent ducting. Even though I had installed smooth pipe it still accumulates lint. I saw in some other review recommending to tape the joints. After using the Deflecto Dryer Duct Cleaning kit the only tape I recommend using is to tape the head (brush) on with some painter's tape (this is what I used). Otherwise, the other joints are extremely tight after using my dill to gently turn the brush clockwise as stated, Do NOT go counter clockwise as you will most likely loose the brush in the ducting. Also, gently work the brush adding extensions one at a time as they are flexible to get around corners in your duct work, but also flexible enough to twist back on themselves if you have too many and are using a drill to turn things. I bought the Gardus 12' extension kit as well for my long run. Good product that worked well for me!

This was quick and easy to use
I am not one who usually does a review, but for this I had to. We have a fairly long vent run so I also bought this 4 piece extension kit. Using 7 three foot rods, including 3 from the brush kit, was no problem. This was quick and easy to use. Our dryer was taking 2 and 3 cycles and still not thoroughly drying clothes. There was air flow so I didn't think the vent was a problem. As soon as I used this the lint was coming out in clumps. I got to a certain point and I felt a little more resistance, nothing too much, and a huge clog came out. The dryer is back in action as it was when it was new. Worries about fires are also gone now.I cleaned from the outside using a shop vac to blow through the duct. Having done it once, next time I will pull the dryer out to check the first elbows, push it back and use it to blow through the duct. The dryer blows harder than the shop vac. Now that I have this I plan to do it once or twice a year. It will take ten minutes and save a lot of gas and electricity with the dryer running shorter cycles.

It worked great. My dryer is like new again
It worked great. My dryer is like new again. I would recommend to anyone with a house that is a few years old. I have a large family and my dryer runs constantly. I was amazed at how much lint came out of my duct. I have a two story house with about 25 feet of duct from dryer to the exterior. Not ionly is my dryer more efficient my house is much safer. I would recommend it to anyone. Great product

So glad I bought it
After watching a youtube video on this product I decided to try it. I am so glad I bout this extender. I had estimated that I would need just a little more length than the kit came with, it turns out I needed a lot more. After running it through and traveling under my slab foundation it came out the other end with about 2 feet extra. There were many more bends and turns under there than expected. So if you think you might need it, get it! It doesn't cost that much and its better to have too much than not enough.

Threads didn't match up
Bought Gardus Linteater and this extension kit at the same time. The thread count was different. All of the Gardus extensions screwed easily into each other, all of these extensions screwed easily into each other BUT they wouldn't screw into the original Gardus end completely. Wrong thread count.

Worth the purchase
Great product but cheaper at retail box store. I bought one extension and needed two more for a total of 36 additional feet for cleaning my drier duct, which I bought at Lowe's. This is definitely a DIY job, but it can be a physical challenge depending on the situation: I had to feed 48ft of extension through my duct. Will not be doing it for another year plus.

Good for 1 to 2 Turns.
They worked great for about 1 to 2 turns. After that you are on your own. I have 3 turns in my vent line and they broke twice. Fortunately, it was close enough I could reach it with my hand. Take your time and keep even pressure.
