Don't buy.
Heater up very fast. If you want to store your data in it and forget buy it. But if you want it in a regular basis it is not for you. Instead go for NAS or cloud storage. Performing tasks with the data stored in this HDD is very slow. Compared to other HDDs. And after heated up it literally STRUGGLES to run. Minimal vibration: I kept it on my table. It vibrates the whole table. Try to put it on a cushion like thing Needs extra power source: First get an extra plug to connect before buying. No matter what "lookwise" it looks amazing, a beast like. Size: A 3.5 inch HDD inside the cover. Weight: almost a kg may be.

Worst drive. Failed after 10days
This useless drive failed after 10days Unable to mount the drive or Format the drive. All data gone. Now i have to go to warranty centre to replacement. Edit on 05-11-2025:: Drive again failed to detect.. 10TB of data lost. Submitted to WD Service centre. Worst experience faced on buying this drive.

Replaced item sent
Amazon has sent replaced item. It was damaged technically. Not physically. I called customer care nd they had told me that it's not their responsibility. ND if u call the wd customer care they told that u have to ask ur place of purchase. So both are irresponsible.please do not buy this item on Amazon.
