Is this the same as 2019 advent calendar?

No. It’s got different builds and minifigures in it.

Do I have to open all of them to be able to built it all?

The packet behind each door makes one specific item. For example, the set behind the No.1 door makes a Harry Potter figure complete with an invitation to the Yule Ball. (I’ve seen it because my granddaughter opened the first door today.) Likewise, with the Lego City Advent Calendar, the package behind Door 1 made a boat. So, no, you don’t have to open every door before you can make all the models. The calendars are very good, with quality models to make.

Without having to rip the box apart are there instructions inside?

No instructions...u just untapped the flap ( the large side that doesn't say advent calendar on it) and then open the appropriate box

I’ve got two grandchildren to buy these for but can only get one. Can I get another one anywhere?
