Good idea, bad execution
The company that sold this too me "Camping station" shipped it out in a reasonable amount of time and did accept the return when I sent it back. I did have to pay my own shipping on the way back. I think the company held up their end of the bargain. This product on my F150. With a topper that has a height level with the top of my truck cab the bottom of this thing did reach around my tailgate. The gaps I noticed were on each side of the tailgate where the tent was attempting to pull in to meet the square corner formed by the side of the tail gate and the back of my bed. The corner of my tail gate glass is rounded and by no means sharp. The corner of the tent over the corner of my tailgate glass slit open the first time I tried to put this on my truck. I build things and camp all the time, I was being very careful. The tent is made of cheap nylon and the zipper doors are T doors too. I am used to camping in Eureka tents. This thing has a build quality more akin to a Wenzel or an Ozark Trails type of tent. You'd be better off getting some no seeum mesh and velcro. Make some window coverings for your side topper windows and use your tailgate/topper back window as your door. Put the mesh over the windows with the adhesive velcro and use your side windows as ventilation. I wouldn't waste my money on this item. Or get some canvas and sew your own, this is a good idea. This is just not how to execute it. I'd pay more for something of better quality that was fitted to the contours of my make/model of truck.Hope it was helpful I buy things on Amazon and have only ever written one other review, and that one was positive. :)

great concept if it fits your truck
I just used this on a weekend camping trip. The cap i have on my truck is higher than the cab...gives me extra room for camping, cargo, ect. So when i open the window part of my cap its pretty high and the tent doors arent long enough to reach the tall gate and there is a big gap between the tent and the tail gate. So i have to bungee cord the window part of my cap so it doesnt open all the way so the tent can wrap under the tail gate like its supposed to, then when you get in you have trouble bumping your head on the cap door because its so low. I only have an F-150 and i bought the large model and its not big enough. I might try to sew on more tent fabic so it fits my truck better.

Works well
Fits full-size Chevy Silverado with camper shell (Cab height shell.) Easy set up. Adds good ventilation to truck camping. It seals pretty well to the back of the truck but if you are camping in the area with lots of bugs that maybe an issue. All In all good product.

The instructions seriously need to be better so you understand how to set up the tent ...
God quality tent for the money. The instructions seriously need to be better so you understand how to set up the tent without having gaps. A few sketches or pics would clear up a lot of guesswork.

DAC Full Size Truck Tent
Purchased one a few weeks ago and used it over the last weekend. Easy to set up, done in about 5 mins. Good to very good fit on my truck and cap. Corners where truck cap contacts tent seem to be well reinforces. Bungies are adequate for the job. Tent functions well and did a good job in a short but intense rain storm. Couple of things I'd like to see still to bring this to a "5 STARS" - The bottom does not entirely close off around the lowered tailgate, some gap is still present. While this doesn't leap out as a deal breaker it doesn't make the tent entirely bug proof. This may be fixable by the user by shortening the supplied bungie but will take some playing around to determine. Another item I'd like to see is the option for an awning, something in the 5 - 6 foot range would be a nice addition and allow entry and exit from the tent without having water leakage to the interior during a storm when getting in or out of the tent. It would also be a nice place to shed rain gear, boots, and other equipment, sit out in the shade on a hot sunny day, etc. Way too useful an option not to have.
