The remote works straight out of the box; all the core functions for each button are mapped correctly (no configuration required), just pop in some batteries. No manual or other paperwork are supplied with it. It comes packaged in some thin plastic (no box within the Amazon box), so if you’re not ordering other things with it, it’s possible that it may not have as much protection in transit.Design-wise, the control itself is much lighter than the original Samsung, doesn’t have the brushed plastic effect on the top, and the battery cover comes completely off (in contrast to the small rubbery hook on the original that kept both parts together). The only thing to note is that the buttons are much firmer, but it’s not something that makes it harder to use, it’s just a different experience.This replaces the original after 10 years of faithful service; I’ve been using this for about 5 weeks without any issues, we’ll see if it can match it.

Was looking for a replacement remote for a while and this is perfect

Ordered this remote as it’s supposed to be compatible with the Samsung to model LE40C530F1W. The remote came and I realised it doesn’t have the remote model writing on it on the the bottom left below the buttons (which it’s shown to on the product photos) which makes me question the legitimacy of it. Have tried two different types of batteries out, strong ones too, and it just doesn’t work, not sure if the remote is dodgy. Very disappointing as it seems to be impossible in finding a compatible remote.

A friend needed a new remote, this is exactly the same as she had, works perfect. Little tip....If you order remotes for TV's then get the serial number off the rear of your TV, it does help to get the correct one. 👍
