It looks exactly the same as the adult version
Very warm good quality coat. My baby looks so adorable in it. He is 2 and 5 months. I bought the size 3T. He has plenty of room definitely can wear this coat next winter season as well.

Nice design- nonexistent quality control.
Coat design is really nice, but they are making it in a plant in Vietnam with absolutely nonexistent quality control. I know this, because the coat was delivered to me with the Carhartt tag sewn right on the front of the coat UPSIDE DOWN. Not only was the person in charge of that completely unfamiliar with the English language and the Roman alphabet, they didn't even know their own company's logo! And it got out the door like that. Looking inside the coat wasn't much better, the seams were all overrun, stitching missed the edges, overall badly done. These things are being made in a sweatshop, which is a shame, because you can tell if it had been done right, it would have been a very nice coat. This one looked counterfeit.Bottom line, if it was a $25 coat from Walmart your kid will wear for 3 months and outgrow, none of these things would be a big deal, but not expected from Carhartt.

Runs SMALL! Order at least one size up.
As a guy that likes to work outside doing all types of labor projects, I can tell you that nobody makes a quality product like Carhartt--Nobody. I have been wearing Carhartt for decades, and it is simply the best in the business in terms of quality and comfort. As such, I was very excited that my son was able to start wearing the same clothes as papa when we are outside. He has the bibs--they fit fantastically! However, this jacket does indeed run small. Especially if you are dressing appropriately for the weather--that is to say, wearing layers, like you are supposed to. With a long sleeve t-shirt and/or a sweatshirt under this, it is simply too small.Because of this, I returned the jacket and exchanged it for a larger size. I am waiting to try the new size and I will update this review when the 4T arrives.Would I recommend this jacket to a friend--YES! Would I purchase again? Absolutely. It is Carhartt, afterall.

Great value for boys OR small women.
I'm 5ft and normally wear a women's size 4 (bought boys XL), love this coat for the barn, shoveling snow etc as I can wear many layers under it comfortabley and the bottom ribbing comes just below my derriere and keeps the wind from going up my back.

Warm and durable. Runs a little bit large.
My hunting crazy 8 year old loves this coat. It is warm and durable and you can never tell if it's dirty, which is plus since he likes to get dirty. My son is average sized for 8 and I bought the 10-12 thinking it could last through two winters, but it was WAY too big. Probably my fault for ordering on the big side. I returned and bought the size 7-8 which fits with plenty of room and may even still fit next winter. He's been wearing for school and play every day for the last 6 weeks and it is holding up really well. We are in ND, so cold winters and this is his winter coat. It's warm enough for school and if he goes out to do chores when it's below about 10 degrees F, he puts a sweatshirt on underneath.

Worth every penny
My son absolutely loves his new Carhartt jacket! He is 2.5 years old and I ordered him a size 3T. It fits him good with plenty of growing room, and he'll be able to get use out of this for 2 seasons. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking to keep their kiddos warm and comfortable

Nice coats, cheaper than in retail stores. Warm, durable, easy to clean!
I love this coat it is easy to clean, very warm and stylish! Black matches everything! I ordered 2 of these for my sons who are 6 and 7 I got them both a small and they will be able to use it for this year and next. It isn’t too bout on the little son not too small on the other- I would say a size small is a kids 6-8. We have other Carhartt coats and overalls they are always very warm, durable, rain resistant, good quality products!

Love these coats!
Just bought my 3rd one of these coats, over a 3 year period. My grandsons love these jackets that are just like dad's, and mom loves them, too - they're very warm, and they still look brand new, after 2 years of wear. The boys are now 3 and 4 ... the 3 year old (average size) has outgrown the 3T this year, and moved up to the 4T. The 4 year old (average size, although on the tall side) can still just fit in the 4T (barely), We debated, as we moved up to little boy sizes, which size to get. A 4/5 (think that was extra small) just sounded too small, so we went with the 6 (think that was small), and are glad we did ... it's a little big, but the smaller one would have quickly been too small - hoping he'll get 2 years out of it! These coats may seem a little expensive for a child's coat, but so many coats just don't hold up well that we think they're worth it - especially if you have someone to hand them down to! (Littlest brother is only 8 months, but these 3 Carhartt jackets will be waiting for him as he grows!)

If you are a size large make sure you buy a 4XL!
I am so glad I had my husband try this on before wrapping it for my son-in-law as they are the same size! I myself am 130 pounds and the extra large man’s jacket just fits me as a female! I cannot believe this is even possible! I would’ve been so embarrassed to give this gift to my son-in-law and to see is disappointment that it doesn’t fit at all! It’s a nice looking jacket but make sure you order it four times your size in order for it to be proper!

Amazing product
Product fits well and the quality is amazing. My son is 4 years old and under the average height for his age but I ordered a xxs 4/5 anyway, it’s a little big as I expected it to be so I would say it fits true to size

Beautiful jacket
This jacket is great quality. Nice quilted flannel inside and very durable fabric on the outside. Sizing is very true to what you expect. My 8yo grandson is 42 lbs and the small was great and a bit roomy on his small frame.

Not bad
HUGE AND STIFF. My kid coulnt even move his arms. I returned it. Also the zipper so so stiff . I have carhart stuff so I wanted my son to have the same but it’s not so functional for a toddler so I retneured it

Good Quality 👍
Awesome coat! So great for layering with sweater under and cuts the wind. My son stays toasty and the price was good 👍Zipper is a tad tricky but all Carhartts seem to be so. Heavy duty and durable for ruff young kids! Will re-buy for sure
