The Cat Buddy is for the cat who likes to beat things up. It's outer shell is durable Velboa fake fur.The catnip is in a pouch so you can easily take it out and replace it when washing. The bell is inside in recycled cardboard so the cat won't choke on it. It's not very loud, but it's safe. We heard so many horror stories about fiber fill we use recycled blankets to stuff it.Be sure to remove the bell when washing.

One of the Best Cat Toys Ever
This cat buddy toy is one of the best cat toys we've ever had in our house of 3 cats and a million cat toys. Seriously, it looks like a cat daycare in here!Meet our review team (you can skip this):Two of our cats are bengals (one raised with puppies, we think, and the other with more issues than we can count). The other is a savannah who was born with a birth defect. Savannah is recovering nicely though he'll never be full size. He has a full-sized attitude to make up for that. For both of these breeds, staying active and mentally stimulated is extremely critical to their overall health. They stay at a "kitten" level of activity well through adulthood. For me, cat toys are sanity givers because I work virtually.About the toy:It's big, and it's weird. The "cat buddy" is a foot long and a few inches wide, and is covered with a short-pile plush fur. It has some ears and a tail that is made out of a tough felt-like material. I couldn't figure out what it's supposed to look like a bug or a worm or what. My past experience with cat toys has proven that this is a good thing. If a pet toy is "just adorable," it's probably a toy designed to get you to buy it, not for your cat to play with.Did they like it?From the moment this toy came out of the box, our Savannah could not get enough this buddy. He didn't wait for it to be assembled (the catnip comes sealed up in a plastic pouch), and started dragging the toy around. The "drag" is a sure sign of a winner. Our bengals watched on, jealous. When Savannah boy finally collapsed, they carried on in their very different styles of play: our eldest is a bat and swatter, and our youngest is highly invested in rolling around and grappling with anything fuzzy that involves catnip. Some noteworthy features * Toy is stuffed with terrycloth toweling instead of fiberfill, so there's less of a choking hazard if you have a chewer * Bell is inside the toy inside a cardboard wrapper to prevent a choking hazard too * Ships with Kitty Hooch's catnip (sealed) in a packet to be inserted on delivery * The entire toy is machine washable!!!!!!! Just remove the catnip. * Did I mention that the toy is machine washable? * Seams are well sewn and reinforced. Youngest has been giving this toy a going over, and it isn't looking a bit tired. Youngest is not declawed, and he is a chewer. * Big enough to satisfy even the most energetic "back feet kicker" in your brood (still trying to grab video of our middle kitty doing this!)A few things to think about: * Smaller cats might be intimidated by this toy. (The smallest of our three is 10 1/2 pounds.) * The toy is stuffed tightly, which can make it tough for toy haulers. An easy fix is to remove some of the terrycloth stuffing * The bell rings quite softly because it is buried within the toy for safetyThis is a solid toy for solid cats! Seriously, I recommend this toy for larger cats who enjoy catnip and are the toy "huggers and kickers." It's also an especially good fit for breeds that tend to destroy toys such as savannahs and bengals.

We love kitty hooch!
My cats love these! Best toy I've ever purchased for them! They hold up to a lot of abuse and love! I love that I purchased these at a food and gift festival and had a chance to talk with them about their products. I love that it's organic and processed by hand too!
