An Entertaining Story

I love this book! Without a doubt it will make a beautiful coffee table book, but it’s also filled with a great variety of information. Written from the standpoint of entertaining guests (if we ever do that again), it starts from cocktail hour and works backward to breakfast. Every spread has at least one gorgeous photo and there’s recipes scattered throughout along with tips that range from a holiday party to setting up a table with a theme color to stocking a charcuterie board to the perfect picnic.This is my first book from India Hicks so I’m not sure how achievable her tips are but her humble and honest writing style (like a friend sharing their entertaining successes and failures) makes it all seem doable.I highly recommend even if it’s just for the images because every page is like an escape into an international daydream but I think there’s valuable information in this book for someone like me wanting to dive into the intricacies of entertaining.

I could not put this book down!!. The pictures, the recipes, and India's stories! Just an excellent, vintage-India book like each of her other books.
