I was using standard cables and putting my phone upright in my cup holder, over time the pressure on the connectors caused them to fail. I switched to this 90 degree connector to remove the stress on the cable and it works perfectly. The build quality of the cable is excellent, I couldn't be happier.

Excellent cable, I didn't know of StarTech before but I will buy their cables again. I've always had phones previously for which there was an OEM, custom-fit vehicle mount. When I picked up a Nexus 5 recently I was fairly surprised to find that there was no such mount and I had to use a hideous universal mount in my truck. One of the worst bits about this scenario is that the Nexus is also my first phone with its micro USB jack on the bottom. I'm used to phones having this jack on the side (so that custom vehicle mounts supplied power directly as the jack was molded into the mount) To minimize this ugliness I set about finding a right-angle cable and was able to find a number of them made by StarTech. From the photos alone I could see which was the correct angle direction and plug orientation (very important as some phones take the plug upside down) and when I ordered this cable it matched the photo perfectly so there was no extensive reading, guesswork or miscommunication involved. That alone is worth 4 stars. And that's about the extent of it which is why they don't get 5 stars because my criteria for that would a longer cable. I could only get this in a 3 foot length (which presents another ugly problem into my customization - the need for an extension draped down my dash. Do you make a charger with this plug? Do you make a 6 footer with this plug? That would have gotten a 5 star rating. This product performs fine, fits TIGHTLY (which matters though I hope it relaxes a little) and faces the right direction so Bravo. Just wish I could have gotten a longer one. Maybe they only make tiny cables? I have no idea.

I bought this item for the purpose of making my Xbox One controller wired to the console. I have gone through many standard cables in the past (they are prone to bending while gaming) and this product has left me very satisfied. The connection to my controller is firm and I have not had any desync issues. This would be a great product for PS4 controller aswell

No issues with the cable. i use it for a wall mounted tablet with a recessed USB outlet i installed on the wall. been almost a year, no issues.

I got this to connect my Garmin Edge 1000 to an external battery during long rides. It's long enough to go between the handlebars where my Edge is and the battery, without getting in the way. The right angle is just right to keep the plug from getting in the way when the Edge is mounted on my bike. Normal non-right angle plugs won't fit.

It has an adequate lenth, and does work well. Just make sure when buying it that the micro USB end is in the correct direction you want. It's the last character in the model number that shows the direction - U for up and D for down.

Perfect cord for the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. I bought multiples of this.

Works well for my Insta360 camera. Much safer than the straight one that came with the camera.
