Pack Obsidian Gold: A Reverse Harem Werewolf Romance (The Seven Mates of Zara Wolf Book 3)

(Shorter than usual because I’m eager to get to the next book. )I loved this book!!! Zara ends up getting even closer to her men and I was so happy about it—for Silas especially since I’ve have such a soft spot for him. Even though I love all the men, I loved Zara’s scene with him the mostOmg and Anubis!!! I love him too and he got his time to shine in this book as well. A few of the men do actually. And I love how close they all have gotten to one another. Silas worrying about Nic 🥺. Heart warming, heart melting however you want to put it. I was eating it up.The only thing I wish happened differently was Titus’s mating scene. I know that Zara’s assertiveness was meant to reassure Titus that she wanted him, but I didn’t love the lead up to the act.The act itself was hot though, but yeah I felt like it could have been handled a little better? Everything else was amazing, the plot the story the smut. I couldn’t book the book down.Also I hope we get a spinoff story with the Angel, Nim, Noc, Levi and Harlem. I feel like it would be epic.Anyway. I’m in a hurry to get to the next book.Would I recommend this series? Absolutely.

Yay!First of all, I need to say this is one of my favorite series. I love the unique take in shifters in this series, and I really do love the characters more and more with each book.Now, if you preordered this book like I did, you probably have a problem: it’s only 7 chapters, right? Well, right and wrong. Yes, that’s the version that was sent out, but no, it’s not the final version. So if your copy has 7 chapters instead of 12, you need to update your copy.Now, there’s another problem. For some reason, the update isn’t being sent out via automatic updates... the only way to get the update (as of now), is to contact Amazon customer support directly... but it’s SO worth it. The extra chapters are exactly what the book needed to go from “Pretty good, 4 Stars,” to “Amazing! 5 Stars!”This series is reverse harem, which means that Zara will end up with all 7 guys. No, she will not choose. Yes, she will be intimate with them all... together and/or separately. There are steamy scenes in this book (and phew are they good ones!), and there is a bit of violence in this series... I mean they’re werewolves in the middle of a war with witches and vampires, it’s going to happen. So if any of those things bother you, don’t pick up this book/series. If any of those things intrigue you, I’d definitely recommend this series (but start at the beginning).And remember, 12 is better than 7. :)

Things get intense in this book, really quickly. While each book explores the growing relationships between Zara and all her men, Ebon Red gave us deeper insight into Nic, Violet Shadow gave us insight into Che, and now Obsidian Gold gives us insight into Silas, and oh, what lovely insight. Silas is such an loving mate, open and honest, and perfectly balanced for Zara in every way. He's raw and refreshing and quietly, confidently self aware. I really enjoyed getting to know him.Zara's world has gotten all sorts of complicated, not just with her relationships with the men, and the growing joys and challenges of trying to manage all those very large ...personalities, but with a traitor in their midst and the witches brewing up all kinds of trouble, things get real. Really, really real. Zara is tested in ways I never expected, and the emotional connections are intense.This book, for me, had a darker, grittier feel to it than the first couple in the series, and I enjoyed it immensely. The experiences are a lot more bloody, and the consequences are a lot more grim. I was bitterly disappointed that this book ended... I wanted it to continue forever and ever. I'll definitely be auto-buying Pack Ivory Emerald. This series just keeps getting better and better.

I was so incredibly excited for this book to come out, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I had to pace myself to keep from gobbling it up all in one sitting.Zara and her boys are quickly becoming one of my favorite reverse harems so far. While 7 is a pretty big number for a RH, the way CM writes it.. you can absolutely distinguish each one of Zara's mates from the next - be it by scent, markings, or personality. Each one has their own motivations/desires and relationship with Zara and it really keeps them from blending together.The stakes are definitely rising in this third book - we are really getting more into the heart of the nature of the wolves (and all supernatural creatures) and what has been done to them through the years. The war is definitely on and I'm dying to know what happens.I highly suggest you read the first two books before this one - or you'll be super confused. And come on - they're so worth it.Once again, CM Stunich delivers an exciting, engrossing, and enthralling read. I can't WAIT for the next book!!

This book held me completely captivated the entire time. I've seen some say that not a lot happened in this book, but I disagree. There was a definite progression of the relationship between Zara and the guys, but specifically there seemed to be an acceptance from the guys towards both Zara and each other. I really enjoyed the interactions between Z and her mother and grandmother in this one. I'm intrigued to find out what the newest character will bring to the story. I have some thoughts on that, but we'll see. I will admit that it took me all the way to book 2 to really get into this series. I struggled with the first book a bit, but I am now very much into Zara and her boys and can't wait to find out what happens next. That was quite the setup at the end. lol Be sure you have the updated version as it really clears some things up. I loved this book.

This was my first read of 2018, I settled down on New Year’s Day and didn’t stop reading until I hit the last page. Stunich has continued this story in stellar form with Zara Wolf and her seven alpha mates continuing their search for the traitor in the pack and the answers to why the pack magic has disappeared and why Zara is able to access it.The paranormal elements of this story are fantastic, as a fantasy fan I’m eating them up and just can’t get enough, so much is happening and there are enough characters coming and going from different factions of the supernatural community to keep you guessing as to who has motive, they all have means, and just what the hell is going to happen next. There are gruesome goings on, violence, which honestly I love the heck out off, and then there is just plain weird stuff!As for the romance elements well knock me down with a harem because Stunich continues to be the best at this steamy windows stuff. The tension is palpable between Zara and most the guys, the heat notched up to boiling. There are moments where it’s hard to take a breath…and I’m talking about me, heaven knows how Zara manages it surrounded by this lot! The sex scenes are fraught with animal attraction, and are just downright scorching.I guess you could read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading this series in order, it will make a whole lot more sense that way.

Every world created by CM Stunich seems to have the ability to grab me by the throat and not let go. The last few pages always tease something to come and I need to know what happens next.I feel like more needs to happen with Faith. She felt so sidelined I'm this book so I hope she does more in the next book. I love the development of the magic and mythology within the series. I find legends within a book really add to the world building and it excites me to think of what it's all hinting at.

Please please I’m begging you to continue this series.There is so far yet to go .But so far all the series has been amazing,just wonderful.Please hurry and write the next book in this series,I can’t stand the wait .Thank you for these amazing booksYour one of my favourite authors and I’m old enough to know better ,but well I love your books thank you so much xx

Another great instalment of this series. CM weaves an intricate web of mysteries, lies, and betrayals between the various supernatural beings. Zara, her mates, and their new allies must find a way to stay alive and gather proof of what has been happening before life as they know it ends.
