Easy to use!!!
I love using this, before I would use a bowl and my hand to keep any rice from going down the drain, this is so much easier. I thought it would be bigger, but since I usually don't cook more than 3 cups of uncooked rice at a time, it works for our family. Some grains of rice can squeeze through the drain grill, but you only lose like 5 or 6 grains of rice, so not a deal.

Does not work for rice
This does not work for rice. I tried to wash 3 cups of Jasmine rice in it. Not only did I make a mess I ended up having to wash the rice by hand anyway. After adding the rice to the container I placed the cover on and then added water through the strainer. I then tried to swirl the rice around but most of the water came splashing out. I removed some of the water thinking I added too much and tried again. This time I got the rice and water to swirl around. I poured all the water out and rice came out with it. Rice got stuck in the plastic strainer part too. I added more water and kept swishing. I did this about 5 times. Each time I drained it more rice came out. I then took the lid off and dumped the rice into my rice pot. Lots of rice stuck to the inside of the container. I used my hand to get it all out. I added water to my rice and I could see it still needed to be washed so I washed it again this time with my hands. Great idea but the container just doesn't work. I am sure it would work better for beans or something just not rice. I received this product at no charge in return for my honest review.

Works Better With Larger Items
This is a great idea, but could use a little more design work. When I make rice, I use a one to two rice –water ratio. Therefore it is important to be accurate. This container does not work well with smaller items like rice; too much gets stuck or washed away. Does work great with larger items though. I have found it very useful for washing my grapes. I received this product for an impartial review.

Very bad design for rice
When you drain out the water, and then try to pour the wet rice into the cooker, at least 1/8 cup either sticks to the side, or wedges into the slots in the top where the water drained. When you try to use a spoon to scrape it out, that just pushes the rice in harder. It takes about 2 minutes of messing with it to get all the wet rice out of this thing.Very bad design for rice. It works better for dried peas and beans, but not for small grains.
