Good value!
Been using several new Creative Labs products, all have been a good value. They all sounds good and work well especially for their prices. These produce a great sound and are comfortable to wear for long periods even with glasses on. The sound is very good and they don't blast/blare in my ears like many others I have tried in the past. Bought these to play PC games with my wife, she says the mic sounds very quiet and clear.

Incredible value for the sound and mic quality
I love these headphones, I use them when I'm working from home and need to be on calls. The sound quality and mic quality are both great. The only small drawback is that they aren't the most comfortable, they're on the tighter side for me... I do have a huge head though.

probably the best headset you can get at this price
this thing sounds phenominal and so does the microphone. i wish i had waited one week for the wireless version, but credit where it's due. this is a really good headset. simply, it's the best one you can get under three hundred dollars retail. the mic sounds superb, it's quite comfortable except for the headband creating a pressure point, needing to be continually adjusted. It could obviously be something related to my head, but it wasn't bad enough to consider anything else in its place. i wouldn't call myself something like an audiophile because it sounds pretty messed up, but this is one of the things i typically don't find any value in going budget with. my daily drivers are the audeze mobius whenever i manage to get it repaired. you just can't beat those drivers imo. this one does not sound as good, but it does have better positional audio cues than anything else i've used aside from my z906 discreet 5.1 surround. no doubt. I've never seen any marketing for this thing. I think it's a super reasonable price in comparison to the rest of the market. I like this headset better than my old Arctis Pro kit. It isn't quite as good for music, but it's super close with the x-fi crap turned off. i say crap, but that feature is why its surround sound is so convincing. it's really really good. i don't like any other virtual surround effect as much as this. the actual audio quality while using that effect rubs me the wrong way a little bit, for sure. the trade-off is a no brainer though. this is a better deal than anything i can think of that's under 250 dollars. easy. the app is annoying. this thing has no customization options. it's got an RGB button, a "super x fi" button that cycles between the 3 modes, and a volume knob. mic's removable and sounds buttery smooth like a phone call over the games i play. i bought this because i physically damaged my main headset and i had no other way to communicate in game even though i am happy to play with the big surround kit. i can't believe i got this for 65 bones used. i am impressed enough to be on the look-out for the wireless version ASAP. OH there's a lot of cable noise from the included cable. i am pretty sensetive to that sort of thing and i only really have a problem with it while the headset is on and there is no sound playing at all. only the bass frequencies of the cable noise bleed through into your ears really, there is no definition at least. so it's easy to overlook while it's playing audio. a different cable may even make the difference. that's a great major flaw to have, if you compare it with some of the flaws of its competition. as far as how accomodating this thing is as a gaming headset, i can only think of two or three headsets that i would ever choose over this. these are a better gaming headset than mine. they don't sound as good, but they're very loud and they sound as good as everything else. the software asks you to "map" the shape of your ears and head during the initial setup using a smartphone. what this means is that you will have to take a photo of your face and each of your ears using the back camera of your smartphone. lmaookay, i think this is stupid. i don't beleive they're getting any valuable insights about my hearing from a grainy set of photos that you have to blind fire at your own head. wow what a stupid decision. this execution is flat out hilarious, but even the concept smells like bull crap. i think this was done to make you think of that nu-something brand headphone that sounded good, but was completely just bs DSP configuration of a mediocre headphone. this seems exactly like that marketing angle, if i had seen any marketing that didn't come directly from the retail package itself. i can't detect any signifigant improvement in the sound quality before or after having completed the whatever bull crap. just being honest. i still would have trouble recommending any headset over this that doesn't come with a substantial price increase. it's going up over 100 dollars before i'm confident that it's a better sounding headset. bottom line.

Great for games with complex 3d sound design
I saw a difference in my performance while gaming, but i have no comparison to other headsets at the same price point. they sound better for gaming than a 200$ sennheiser set made for music but thats not really a fair comparison. build quality good. ive gotten compliments on my mic sound. i can wear them 16 hours at a time no problem, ears get a bit warm. lots of features built into the headset itself from custom rgb to mic switch, different modes for different sound (off, improved surround, game mode) volume. detachable mic. kevlar usb c cord great strength and unique build, it does grind against hard surfaces but you dont really notice. it has a subtle loopback of your voice from the mic so youre not yelling/you have an idea of how loud youre being/what you sound like. it basically simulates being able to hear yourself like you have no headset on. software setup took all of a couple minutes with help

Poor design, poor fit.
This unit works about as well as my old Creative Arena Surround headset of ~10 years ago. What makes it similar is in the lack of comfort, that very poorly padded bar/strap that goes across the top of the head. The same old Creative headset design flaw leaves my head sore & frequently needing to re-position to avoid pain. What's worse is that the length adjusting of the earcups keep sliding down, & so loose that they even slide out when simply removing the headset, necessitating re-adjusting each & every time, & this model is lots worse than the Area Surround model. I even had to cut a thin piece of paperboard to slip up into the adjuster slots just to try to keep them in place. Very poor! I shouldn't have to jury-rig a top-of-the-line modern headset like this! What's also lots worse is the mic boom, which is too loose & springy, & won't stay in the position I put it. Also, I can't simply swing it out of the way like I could with the Arena Surround model. I have to unplug the whole mic & boom from this new model. I'm very disappointed with this SXFI Gamer headset, especially considering what I paid for it. I expected much better from Creative!

Good sound bad build quality
The sounds of these headset are good. The build quality is not so much and could have been better.
