A good heavy straight leather strop
With the right rouge, this puts an edge on knives that I have never experienced. I keep my EDC and kitchen knives razor sharp at all times, but I've never experienced an edge like I've been getting since I started using leather and rouge to strop. This is a reasonably thick and heavy piece of leather that has a smooth and a rough side, depending on how you prefer to use it. I've found I get a finer polished edge using the rough side. On the smooth side my rouge tends to clump and make small bumps that keep me from getting that finest of razor finishes I love. This leather is heavy enough that I did not feel the need to glue it to a wood block. I just lay it on my table saw top and strop away.

Diesel... THICK
Using for carving chisels and ordinary bench chisels as a strop... I've looked long and hard and for the money this is hands down the best value around. The quality of the leather is so nice it's a shame to use it!! The thickness is 150% thicker than what I got at Woodcraft for twice the money. I use the rough side mainly with green honing compound. I think I'm going to purchase another as this leather is worth every red cent.

Good quality for making a strop !
I bought these to made a double sided leather strop. They are about 1/8" thick and are good quality and heavy duty. They are definately a good buy !

Very nice piece of leather
Very nice piece of leather. Better than any of the others I have purchased. My only complaint is it about two weeks or more to ship.
