Great design leads to warmer room and the heat stays longer after it's switched off
I have had this for two weeks and have been impressed. The unique design/shape means that it warms up more of the room than most other heaters. With the TaoTronics heater, the warmth spreads evenly around the room, while the heat remains in the room for a reasonable amount of time even after you switch it off. I've had other heaters before and they haven't done that (e.g. the heat has been focused in one area, then disappears when switched off). In terms of sound, it is nice and relatively quiet. The overall design looks nice and stylish in the room. I normally put the heater on full heat and then once it has warmed up for bit, I'll put it on Eco mode which sustains the heat level at 24 degrees. The heater is ceramic and the electrical use is efficient/economical. It's easy to figure out how to use. One other feature which is unique and I've not seen with other heaters is that when you switch it off, the fan stays on long enough (briefly) to ensure any heat within the device has gone out of it which seems like a prudent safety precaution yet I've not seen that with other heaters. I have already recommended it to family members.

This heater does not have a thermostat function
This heater does not have a thermostat function - so effectively it runs constantly which is no good if you want to save money or want to leave it unattended. I therefore returned the heater to Amazon and got my money back. I then found a better heater being sold by Argos (De'Longhi HFX60V20 Digital Oscillating Fan Heater).

Perfect for winter evenings
Thought it best to get a heater early this year as my old heater packed up after years of faithful service! Nothing beats sitting in front of a cozy heater on a cold lazy afternoon.I was in a bit of rush to order one and was worried I might have impulse purchased a dud, but actually I'm quite impressed with this heater. It's quite compact and it's a nice cross between a tower and little fan heater. The heat settings are perfect hot and warm rather than burning/freezing you can get with some heaters. The remote is handy although I'm not used to having a heater with a remote so keep forgetting to use it.Definitely would recommend!

Fan Heater - Very quick and effective heating ๐
Well, we wanted to have extra portable heating fan as preparation to upcoming winter which has kicked off now. It's new build property we are living in and due to bigger rooms and single thermostat which is not effective we always had issue during cold weather and don't wanted to take any risk this time with little on around. This fan heater does the job. Very quick heating especially at max speed just in secondsWith oscillation features it heats up room evenly and very user-friendly operation via the LCD display on top of it. Easy to control directly via lcd screen or via remote which came in the kit.Pleased with it so far and would highly recommend this ๐

Overall OK, but not 5 star
Overall, the heater is of pretty decent quality, it heats up quickly so in that sense does the job. However, there is a number of small annoying design faults which add up.1. While not very noisy, the unit is far from silent. Why was it not possible to add two fan speeds in the same way as there are two hear settings?2. Temperature control is very flaky. Why four settings instead of one-degree steps? So far I have not seen the unit switch off or back on once! Obviously the thermostat is so poor that its margin of error is bigger than the 3 degree steps.3. Given the above, I resort to using the remote to turn it on and off. Now, the remote is great and definitely a distinguishing feature of this heater. However, the first button touch is always simply to wake up the indicators, never actually operating the unit. In my case, the unit is under the desk. So it if has stopped and I want to restart it by increasing the temperature from 21 to 24, just pressing the + does nothing. Pressing it again does, but I sill need to crane down to check what it's actually done. Same goes for the oscillation function.4 Lastly, the two buttons on the remote, the M and the "..." are a complete mess. One is suppose to change "the mode", the other the heat setting. But the mode is the heat setting anyway, plus the mysterious 'eco' which is linked to one single temperature, 24 deg. Why? What if I want 'eco', whatever it is, with lower temperature (which, of course is usually the case). Very hare-brained design. That said, I did not see anything better on Amazon. People complain of noise and crappy thermostats for all heaters, so looks like this is the standard.
