Does exactly what I need
So, I have been a professional truck mechanic for 39 years. Occasionally I have to work on passenger cars and light pickups that are a part of the fleet. I needed an OBDII scanner but didn’t want to spend too much money since I plan to retire in the next couple of years. There were specific functions I had in mind so I made a list and did a little research. There are a lot of very nice diagnostic tools out there that were more than capable of doing what I need but I just can’t justify spending that kind of money for a tool that I may only use a handful of times before I retire. I watched a video on this tool and noted that it was exactly what I was looking for. There is an email address on their website which I used to ask them several questions before I bought it. They answered every one of my questions within 24 hours. I am sure they got tired of me. LoL. I got it about 2 months ago and played with it a few times, it’s exactly what I need. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I am 61 years old. Younger folks may figure it out much quicker than me.

Not for 2020 Nissan Rogue
The unit overall appears to be of nice quality. Although in my case it just did not work for my application. Even after I applied all updates. Ordered this to service the EPB (electronic parking brake) system on a 2020 Nissan Rogue. Every time I would select maintenance then EPB and select make (Nissan) it would revert back to the main menu. Even after double checking the manual and searching online the issue persisted. For this reason I will be returning it.!!UPDATE!!I changed my review to 4 stars simply because of the professionalism and customer service the company provided. Even though I returned the scanner they have been very helpful and kind throughout the whole process. In the future if I find myself in need of a scanner I will definitely look to Foxwell.

Great product
Since I received this a few days ago, I have used it to bleed the brakes on our GMC 1500 and read an ABS code on a Fiat. It worked flawlessly in both applications. The software update was easy.I really was impressed with the live data function. I was not only ably to pull the data from the ECU for engine data but also the ABS.Great product!

Great scanner! TPMS Diagnostics a Plus!
I have been in the market for a scanner to diagnose several vehicles I personnaly own as well as other vehicles for extended family. So far this scanner has paid for itself! One of the key features I purchased this scanner for was the TPMS or Tire Pressure Management System and the ability to get a read on the system itself and each of the wheel's sensors. My Lexus ES350 displayed the TPMS icon on the dash so I connected the scanner to view some live data. The scanner gave me readings on all five tires (yes, the full size spare) including the tire pressure, ID's, status of battery, minimum PSI, etc. All tires were within the acceptable pressure range. I then disconnected the scanner and went for a drive. TPMS icon on the dash GONE! Hasn't come back for a week now!! I have a family member with the same issue on a Lincoln MKZ and determined two of the sensors were not reading a reduction in PSI so therefore two of the sensors have reached end of life. The other two are fine but on the side of caution I am going to replace all four sensors since the car is 11 years old. I am really pleased with this scanner so far without even pursung the other features. Considering the dealer quoted $400 to install new sensors in all four wheels, I can do it for less than $170. I would recommend this scanner to the DIY mechanic like myself considering how complicated late model vehicles are to diagnose and repair. Being more informed is better than the alternative and being at the mercy of a dealer or overzealous mechanic.

Does not work on 2018 Panamera
Notwithstanding the fact that the vehicle compatibility list that Foxwell provides indicates that this scanner is compatible with Porsche vehicles, it is not in fact compatible with the 2018 Panamera. After spending hours watching You Tube videos, updating the Foxwell software, and finally communicating with customer service, I learned the following from their rep, "Handheld devices do not support the 2018 Porsche Panamera 4S OILRESET special function, only Android tablet devices can support it, such as NT710."

Worth EVERY PENNY!
This is pricey but it works! My husband had to reset something on my Tahoe and this was the ONLY THING that would do it without taking it into a dealership! Since then it has come in handy for him on many occasions!

Complicated
Ready the manual and get training. This is a complex unit and you need to know what you are doing or it is just useless to you.

I highly recommend. Easy to use.
This tool helped me diagnose and fix my care. I had a cheaper one but it would not resolve the issue. This one did and works on all my cars and truck. I highly recommend
