Price and durability
Work great

Works Great, easy to operate. $80 at Freight Harbor Tools.
Makes pruning trees and tall tropical trees much easier, cuts well, sturdy, easy to use, better than keeping gas for a gas powered unit.I was surprised. Reaches high. Great. BUT YOU CAN BUY ONE FOR A MERE at $80 FREIGHT HARBOR TOOLS and that is pretty much the regular price.

Didn't Last Long!
It lasted a minute or two, stopped running, and I sent it back for a full refund.

Not durable, with unsafe internal design.
Heads up on this item. This is the exact same item as Harbor Freight Tools 68862 or any electric pole saw with serial number 68862 regardless of manufacturer (7 amp / 6'-8'10"). When this device works, it's effective. The chain dislodges about once every 2 hours of use, which is atypical for better quality small electric chainsaws. The sprocket that secures the endplate (that grey-green plastic part) which keeps the chain in place threads into a bolt on the INSIDE of the motor housing. This bolt turns out to be held in place by simple compression of the semi-flexible oil tank. See where I'm going here? After using this a few times, the bolt descended into the motor housing, making the saw unusable because of one critical fastener. I disassembled the motor housing to find the bolt, and saw that many parts that should be metal are actually plastic, and many parts more or less float around held in place by other parts pressing against them -- rather than being secured screws or fasteners. Very cheaply constructed - I'm surprised no one has been electrocuted by this device, or that it didn't cause any fires. Expect about the same lifespan for this product as any other flimsy product. The total time that this product lasted was 16 hours of actual use.

Constantly pops chain & bolt inside housing keeps coming off making it unusable
I had the same problem as another reviewer had. I really liked this saw because it was easy to use & saved me a lot of time. I've used it only a handful of times and it started popping the chain about every 1 hr or so. This became super frustrating. Just today after using it less than 1/2 hour we put chain back on & screw holding housing together wouldnt go back in. It seemed like it was stripped which made no sense. We had to take it apart & found the bolt that it screws into had come off & was just laying inside. Everything inside relies on the oil compartment holding it in. The minute that moves everything falls apart & falls out & it's impossible to get back together. Very disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for.

Amazing saw. Treat it with respect and it will ...
Amazing saw. Treat it with respect and it will serve you well. Abuse it, such as disregarding the oil and it will fail after a few uses.
