Prowler Bait Chunx Pail

Having used the Tomcat bait chunx for years now, I’ve been a fan of how effective their bait products tend to be overall. They hold up for a good amount of time even in tougher weather conditions, and definitely reduce the rodent population and activity around our property, including our home and shed. This has been a life saver for us as the amount of rats and mice in our region seem to have really increased the last couple of years for some reason. I noticed that this new Prowler bait line of products was recently released and thought I’d try running it in a few of my extra bait station boxes that I wasn’t using, just to see how well it worked versus the old stuff. Typically I use the bait chunx on vertical rods in the Outpost and Vertical stations I like to run, so I thought I’d give that a go. WOW. I was surprised to see how much more activity I saw with the new Prowler bait chunx! They appear to be a bit smaller than the old ones and there are more groves/edges on each of the blocks so it must be easier for the littler varmints to gnaw on. It sounds like this is their new “palatable formula” too, which I read means that the ingredients they use are supposedly more appealing to these pests now. Apparently it works! And even though it’s a touch more expensive for a 4 pound pail, there are MORE bait chunx in each pail which means its at least on par or likely even a bit more bang for your buck then using the older stuff. We’ll burn through our older bait chunx just to use them up, but we’ll for sure be switching to Prowler going forward as it certainly does seems like a nice upgrade. I think we’re going to check out the other forms of bait Prowler is offering as well to see what kind of results we get using those too.

THEY TAKE CARE OF THE RAT PROBLEM IN THE COUNTRY!

Works pretty well, but it’s an ongoing issue with voles. It’ll get rid of them, but more find the tunnels and I have to start over again. However, I’d buy it again because it’s easy to use.

We had voles making holes all over our yard, purchased this. We put them down the holes and now we have none making more holes!! Really works!!! Highly recommend!! Only put half of one down the holes...

Not a single one got a nibble. Or chunk missing. They actually grew mold on them. Used another brand that were green. No mold lots of nibbles. Also had traps in addition to the poisons. Traps were “used” other brand was nibbled. This brand had no marks. Looked untouched

Works wonders all you need if having and mice or rat issues.

Terrible... worse than. If you live on the Alaskan frontier where rats have never been exposed to this poison, I don't doubt that it works well. But in a civilized area rats can eat a ton of this stuff before they finally die. THAT'S NOT THE WORST PART! It makes rats fearless; they stop hiding from you. They will eat from your pet's food bowl while you and the pet watch. They begin running around in broad daylight - you will have to be careful not to step on them. So far, I have not been bitten.... but I'm worried about it. Use the 1st generation stuff, at least it doesn't remove the rat's inhibitions. You have been warned.
