Wonderful product - good for root rot
Great product, wonderful seller. Good for root rot. I use it for my pulmaria plants that are prone to stem rot in addition to root rot. I've saved a few plants with this product. I don't know if this product is supposed to help with stem rot but in my case it seemed to do so. The key ingredient is trichoderma harzianum, which is hard to find if you aren't a professional grower buying in bulk. So grateful to get it.

Works well
Product works well. I almost knocked a point off for how it's packaged (bag with zip closure) but I solved the problem of the zip closure not working when the product invariably gets into it by putting it into a small canning jar with a tight fitting lid.

Treating Brittle Cinder / Kretzschmaria deusta
I am using the product to treat a tree with brittle cinder fungus. An arborist in Germany has a YouTube video outlining the use of trichoderma fungus to attach the brittle cinder pathogen. Hopefully this works as we love the tree and would love to save it. I am less than hopeful given the rot being advanced but I thought I'd give this a try. Photos of brittle cinder on the tree for reference. Fingers crossed. Let's hope this helps. It's an inexpensive test given what it will cost to have the tree removed.

Mixes/dissolves easy
Very good for soaking seed plugs, clones, transplants and just general root building. This product help me build a root system in my plants that made it strong and healthy. The roots were thick and strong. Very robust ready to deliver nutrients to the rest of the plant. When combined with the rest of the line, the ecosystem under the soil creates a microbial system that will increase bioavailability of nutrients to your plant like never before!Update: After using this product on my seedlings they were stronger and handled transplant shock and recovery much faster. Not only did I have a taproot but a massive web of roots on each plug.

Beware of misleading information about trichoderma from PSEUDO-scientists!!!!!
I just want to start off by saying that I've been using this product for a while from their website (love this product by the way, very solid) and this is my first time seeing their product on Amazon and saw some WRONG reviews with misleading information about how trichderma needs to be "green" from wannabe scientists so wanted to set the record straight!!!!!Trichoderma harzianum/viride actually look WHITE when they grow out of the soil, as shown in the photo I just posted. The white fungi in that picture are definitely, most definitely Trichoderma. They COULD look green while they're in their sporulation stage, and THIS is the reason why they may appear "green" in petri dishes as suggested by the pseudo-scientist in the other review. That having been said, if you happen to see green fungi in nature, or on the soil surface in your garden, it is probable that OTHER fungi are also growing around your plants. One last thing, Trichoderma grow around the roots in the soil, and usually, you cannot see them on the soil surface. You can see them only when you are lucky!!!!! So all these pseudoscientists need to brush up on their "science" (they literally do not know what they are talking about) and actually learn more about Trichoderm and how wonderful it is to your plants and soil, and yes they are WHITE!!!

Plant seedlings respond.
I can't have root failure. I grow in soil blocks and seed trays from seed and giving plants a healthy start means nutrients, nutrients, nutrients. Plus during the transplanting phase, we do a root dip to ensure when they go from a light room to field, they make it. Mikro-Root didn't let us down. After a couple of days, plants went through a growth spurt. Of course, I use a variety of nutrients. This is one I'd recommend.

Doesn't look like trichoderma, more like mucor or something similar
I highly recommend to have petri dishes to test fungi you buy online. Its not rare at all for product to turn out to be something else. Sometimes its a contaminated batch, sometimes storage. I grew this product and it turned out white, while trichoderma (both kinds listed on the package) are green.Test your products. Often you don't need slides and microscope, just basic lab techniques, cheap equipment and your eyes. Considering high cost of the bio products, well worth investing in. Even better if you involve your kids and get them some science training.
