In high school, Dudley Taft co-founded "Space Antelope" with Trey Anasatasio (of Phish) playing many school events. After stints in Seattle bands Sweet Water and Second Coming, Taft embraced the blues, recognizing it as the foundation of all the great 1970s rock he was exposed to as a teenager. The more investigating he did, the more he realized that the blues was his true musical home. In 2010 Dudley produced the "Left For Dead." A little Texas blues, a hint of Mississippi Delta, seventies hard rock, and grunge, resulting in - the "Seattle blues!" Bonus track, a romp through Led Zep's "When the Levee Breaks."

I just discovered Dudley recently. This my second CD of his.Huddle up...If you like real good rock & roll and if you dig real good blues, you just gotta get this CD.It's damn good!Oh hey! Did I mention he really knows his way around a guitar?It is still in the CD player in my truck.When you get it, turn the volume up loud and enjoy!Did I mention it is a damn good CD?

STUMBLED ON TO MR TAFT BY ACCIDENT AND WAS GREATLY IMPRESSED. BOUGHT SEVERAL OF HIS ALBUMS AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!! POWERHOUSE GUITAR AND GREAT VOCALS MAKE FOR SOME ENJOYABLE MUSIC. JUST WAITING FOR SOME TOUR DATES IN THE SOUTH SO I CAN CATCH HIM LIVE.

Good rockin' blues!
With all the fantastic rock and blues masters out there(and we all have our favorites), it's still good ear candy to hear someone different or whom the broad public spectrum may not be aware of that's also recording & playing quality music!

a must hear
I'd never heard of this guy before,but boy does he need to be heard to be believed.I purchased this on samples of Back Door Man, Seventh son,and When the Levee Breaks,but there is alot more good music on this cd.Mr. Taft has his SRV chops down,plus throw in some Eric Gales and Poppa Chubby and you've got a great heavy blues cd worth the money.5 stars plus!

Its better than I expected
Its better than I expected, brilliant compositions and music from the 'power trio'. Dudley Taft's voice is one that grows on you.

Nach ein paar Runden im CD Player kann man es kaum erwarten wie es weiter geht.Erdig, bluesig......genial.Musikalisch unverschnörkelt und trotzdem alles andere als langweilig und die Stimme unterstreicht einfach das Drumherum.Kann mich dem Vorredner nur anschließen....Kaufempfehlung!!!
