Works as expected. Even living in a wooded area with the fall leaves coming down in bucket loads, this prevented our downspout from being clogged up like usual. This doesn't replace normal cleaning out of gutters, but it buys us time betwwen cleanings in the fall. My basement is dry and my husband is happy that this reduces his time spent on a ladder!

Might as well just send you a spool of rusty wire to fill order. None of these are exactly perfect but these are real duds.

This thing is indeed 2"x3" which is a typical size for a residential gutter downspout - even though the hole in which this is placed is often round. But not a problem. The thin metal "waistband" of the thing is very easily reshaped to be round. You can use your fingers with a little assist from a pair of pliers and it's a round strainer in less than a minute.Hopefully, this will strain out only the big stuff and let the smaller stuff pass, thus avoiding the "crust" that dams-up the finer mesh light bulb-shaped strainers from the hardware stores. We'll see.

One major problem with this item, where it fits the down spout it actually measures 2" x 3", not 3" square. On the item it even says 2" x 3'. I ordered it from 2 different suppliers, thinking the first one made a mistake, silly me, they must just read the computer and not look at the actual item. The companies seem like nice people, but the item is not 3" square.7-13 update, they refunded some money, which was unexpected, as I told them I was dropping the complaint. People with integrity evidently.

I bought these to replace other, light-bulb-shaped metal strainers whose openings were too fine (they strained out small debris I'd rather let pass, necessitating frequent cleaning). These were definitely an improvement, but I wish they were stainless, rather than galvanized. I'm already seeing some signs of rust.

Great product! stops the big leaves from clogging the drain downspouts.

This gutter guard fit like a charm in my 2X3" downspouts. As noted by the other reviewers, the description is wrong- they are not 3X3". (I knew they were really 2X3 by looking at the Peak website and ordering the item # I needed.) This is a good product; they really should fix the description.
