THE TRUTH IS THE LIGHT!!!
Bravo ~ Another great story and life lesson. I truly appreciated the Bible verses associated with each chapter. "I once was lost but now I'm found"; is the parable I'll use for this story ~ What a wonderful family reunion in the end! My favorite characters were Arleatha, Aunt Cee Cee & Pastor Landris. Pastor Landris was truly a man of God. I admired and appreciated Pastor Landris' steadfastness, belief and faith in God, and even during adversity, he yielded NOT to temptation, he did not and would not turn his back on God or the things he believed in to be righteous ~ Phenomenal lessons!!!Happy Reading.LNichols

Vanessa Davis Briggs write books better than any I have ever read. And I have read some good ones. I started not to do the book club reading, but I am so glad I decided to join them.
I chose the rating I did because the book is good. Vanessa Griggs writing is awesome and a Blessing. I pray that God continue to give her the words to but in books that will Bless people.

The Truth shall Set you Free
Deception at its best...who is really serving the Father of the Light, or Father of Deception as quoted by Rev. Walker (page 65). Do people realize they could be serving the wrong Master themselves but instead they prefer to point the finger at someone else, also known as the Pharisee spirit! This is a wholesome story, with characters and able to get a glimpse of their realities. The author writes with such compassion, slight sense of humor, and definitely shines God's glory within the characters in the story and those who read it!So many enriching and valuable lessons taken from this book, even underlined and starred those pages. Here is one: Reading the best part in a novel, from Luke 5:5, asking How many of you are doing something today that know God told you to do? How many of you look at what you've been told to do and wonder if you're crazy to either do it or keep doing it when it doesn't look like it's working out the way you envisioned when you began it? We say, 'Come on God. Can I get a break?' (page 148-151, The Truth is the Light by Vanessa Davis Griggs)...it gets better as you read these pages!Adrienna TurnerAuthor of "God is in the Equation" and "The Day Begins with Christ"

Want to read a really good book?
This is an excellent book! It was very hard to put it down and it kept me up long hours at night. The characters were very interesting and It felt like I really did know them. I'm glad I read it before I read the Other Side of Goodness because it made it seem like a continuation of The Truth is the Light. What an interesting story line, I would recommend this book to everyone.
