After a decade of indoor gardening you get a good idea for which nutrients and supplements are worth the money and which are not. Hygrozyme is on my personal list of stuff that's worth it. Especially if you're running a Deep Water Culture system and/or find yourself in a summertime project where you can't keep your reservoir temperature as low as you'd like.My main use for Hygrozyme is preventative- I add it every time I change the solution in a reservoir. It helps to keep the root cuticle shedding and keeps roots bright, white and very healthy. I can stretch my reservoir changes out by another one or two weeks with no problems and I believe Hygrozyme has a lot to do with that.I understand Hygrozyme can be helpful when dealing with Root Rot but I haven't had to deal with Root Rot so I wouldn't know.PS: To help prevent root rot keep your reservoir cool (under 78F if you can) and make sure you are aerating your nutrient solution!

Roots definitely respond well!

I had decent results using hyrdogen peroxide keeping my roots fresh and white, but found out that using hydrogen peroxide can actually kill beneficial enzymes. I had stopped using hydrogen peroxide, and noticed some brown discoloration on my root balls in my hydroponic system. After using this product, my roots are back to being bright and white and healthy. Never have any issues with algea or root rot after using this product. Will purchase again and am a believer for life.
