I bought this to use with my hydrometer for testing beer gravity and I was not disappointed. I used about 8 ounces of beer to use the hydrometer but I sanitize everything so I'm pouring it back in after anyway. The quality seems very good to me. I know some people said it's thin glass but it's seems to be in line with how thick a lab cylinder should be and seems to be good quality glass.One feature that I really like is that the plastic base can fit on either end of the cylinder so when you wash it, you can flip the cylinder over in the base to dry.

I am using this in mead brewing. The glass is clear and makes reading my hydrometer very easy. It is larger than I need, but I can pour the contents back in when I am done. Over all am very happy with the test jar, the plastic one I had before cracked time will tell on this glass one.

Perfect for testing brew for clarity or for alcohol content with hydrometer.Handle with care… thinner beaker like glass but still sturdy. It survived my clutsy use.Came well wrapped and shipped.

Nice test jar. Overall height is 13". I really needed 13" internal depth to work with the larger pro grade hydrometers I use at my brewery. My fault but it is a really nice piece. Especially like that the tube is removable from the base and can be installed upside down to dry.

Honestly I was a bit in doubt ordering this Test Jar because there were no reviews at that time.However, because of product description I made a decision and order one. Now, I can say this test jar is absolutely good and on 100% corresponds to its description. I am happy to having it for my home-wine making needs. Definitely recommend.

It worked perfectly for measuring the alcohol content of my hard cider. I will use it for beer and wine making also. Two thumbs up.

I've used this test jar for my recent batch of brew, it shows no signs of cracks, chips or other issues. I love that it is tall, and works well with a hydrometer. Also, the glass is thicker then expected, I was a bit worried about breaking but no worries now! It is exactly as described.
