BachmannThomas Steam Locomotive, Prototypical Maroon

Highly detailed model, definitely worth the price.

My son and I have been collecting Thomas the trains for a while and when I saw Skarloey I had to buy it. I bought an inexpensive (well kind of) N scale train set and it runs perfectly. It's much smaller than the HO scale, but it depicts Skarloey's size more accurately. It is so finely detailed. We're both waiting patiently for Bachmann to release Rusty to add to our small collection.

Skarloey looks good but really seems to be more N scale than HOn30. Love that it comes in a box instead of the blister packages that the HO scale does. Worked right out of the box. The couplers are different but I was able to get them to connect to N scale cars. The other cars made for Skarloey are easier to connect. This is narrow gauge HO scale engine do it runs on N gauge track

It is fun to put anything Thomas on my layout when small children come over. They all get so excitied to see anything "Thomas" This little preforms well.

Fell apart within minutes. Shame that Bachmann USA is nowhere near the quality of Bachmann Branch line. I had a 009 Baldwin 4-6-0 for about a year and a half with zero issues out of the box.
