Wonderful cross-over from folk to early rock - great college music in live performances. Very good musicians who know more than three chords played over and over and over and over.

Did not meet my expctations

Guess it is what it was.Memories are never really the same.

I loved Washington Square and still have the 45.But played the the CD with all of music it was great. It took you back to wonderful time.

I keep this playing in my truck..I had this years ago and left it in the tape deck when I traded vehicles. I forgot how great it made me feel when I got where I was going.

pretty much as I remember them from my teens. just as good as I remember,just as hokey when they aint so good... folk-band/jazz, lots of banjo and horns.

My parents had the Washington Square LP when we were kids. When I first purchased this CD my sister and I were driving around singing at the top of our lungs. After several songs she turned and said "I don't remember these being instrumentals...." Unfortunately the player in my last van ate the CD.....fortunately I've been able to replace it with this purchase.

L'ho comprato soprattutto per "Washington Square" (hit mondiale) ma non c'è una sola canzone da scartare. Incisione molto buona, se vi piace il banjo ed il folk-dixie questo disco è perfetto: può portarvi solo allegria. Power on, e.....lasciate che la mente vi porti indietro veso giorni felici e spensierati.Ciao,Franco

Nice collection with rag style

私が中高生だったころ小遣いもあまりなく、買えなかったアルバムを今ようやく少しのゆとりが出てきてＣＤの形で探し求めています。そんな中、このＣＤはＬＰ2枚分を一気に手に入れたことで非常に満足感が高く、「ワシントン広場…」でストンパーズファンになった人も多いと思いますが、このところ再燃してきているオールディーズファンにもぜひお薦めしたい1枚です。「ワシントン広場…」はもちろん、ブラフォーで流行った「悲しきカンガルー」や「ウォークライトイン」をはじめ、ＰＰＭでヒットした「風に吹かれて」や「くよくよするなと」など、日本人にもなじみのある曲がいっぱいで、懐かしさのつまった感動ものです。

アレンジした曲は数々ありますが、オリジナルをどうしても聴きたくて購入しました。名曲です。懐かしく聴いています。「ワシントン広場の夜は更けて」一曲でよかったのですが、シングル盤は難しいでしょう。他の曲風が、ほとんど「ワシントン広場～」と似ています。でも、この一曲のために購入してもよいと思ったので。購入して良かったです。
