Pet Emergency Pocket Guide Spiral-bound – May 25, 2011

I was looking for a small, packable, quick simple book to keep in my "go bag" for emergency evacuation and preparedness. I was impressed. I am a medical person, but not a vet. The illustrations were clear, the tabs make it easy to find in a true emergency. Some reviewers felt it wasn't thorough or comprehensive enough. In an emergency, simplicity is key. People don't have to study something. It is not intended to be a thorough discussion of pet first aid. There are large volume books available for people interested in learning more about pet health and anatomy. For an emergency booklet, that present the information in easy to understand and efficient manner, in a well organized format, this fits the bill. I just wish they would update it again. This edition (2011) is quite long ago!

This is great to have on hand. It will save you money 💰 too. You won't be going to your vet every time something comes up with your dog or cat. A lot of things you have questions about are in this pocket guide and it gives you a full explanation of why your pet may be experiencing this and how to help your pet. This pocket guide has been a life saver for me. And I've learned alot.

I got this as an addition to our pet/human emergency supplies because in an emergency this is a GOD send! At the dog park, someone's dog looked like it had the beginnings of heat stroke, I ran to the car and got the Adventure Medical Kits Adventure Dog Series Me & My Dog Canine First Aid Kit from the car. I was so happy to find this guide tucked right on top, I flipped to the right section and this really saved the day! The other dog owner was super thankful, other dog owners impressed, husband proud and beaming!

Been looking for a small and detail information on emergency care. I bought 3 of them, keep one in the truck, one in a first kit and gave one to my sister for her dog. Has information section in there to write contact information for Vet and emergency 24 hour services as well. Going to purchase another soon for a friend of mine that getting a puppy soon.

A great reference guide for common emergency. I wanted something just in case the unthinkable happens to allow me to covert my skills as a paramedic and equipment I keep in my personal jump bag, to be able to stabilize fury friends in order to get them to definitive care. This pocket guide does not go into great detail about things which it shouldn't it is a quick reference tool. If you want more information on things you should be buying books that are more like text books or taking courses.

A handy guide, pack in your backpack, camper, car or even home. A quick basic guide on how to aid your injured pet until you can get to the vet.

Informative! Useful for pet owner. A MUST HAVE if you are a fur parent or a pet lover.

As a service dog handler having this quick cheat book to help in an emergency is amazing as my dog is my life line. It is great to have on hand.
