High-Capacity Gas Flex Line, for NG or LP Fire Pits, 18'' x 1/2''

This simple gas line changed everything! When we bought the house, gas fire log was in place, and after testing it for leak, we used it a couple of time: Whistle noise was just unbearable, even with gas flow at the lower position. We bought a new gas line at a local hardware store, specifically designed for gas log. That was a waste of time an money: same horrible whistling noise, we had to return it. We decided to give a last chance before converting back the fireplace to wood burning, and order the Dreffco 1/2" x 24" Non-Whistle Flexible Flex Gas Line for NG or LP from Dreffco. We are so glad we did: It works perfectly fine: no more noise AT ALL !! A quick way to see is your line is whistling: just blow air in with your mouth, no whistling = your are good to go. I wish my husband did not throw away the old line, I could have done a video so you could hear the difference ;-)

Good quality product, worked great!

Seems to work to reduce gas flow noise coming from sections of gas lines between the air mixer and burner. I have two linear burners, each throttled by a trim valve, so I can compare gas flow noise individually. See picture-the short section of silver flex is not a non-whistle design while the black ones are. The burner supply line with the silver flex is definitely noisier. It’s not a whistle sound but more of a whooshing sound. I’ll be replacing that last section of silver flex with one of these non-whistle designs.

It worked perfect, made my project easy

Used this on an outdoor fireplace. It worked great, and the best part is no leaks and my burner doesn't hiss at wide open! Very flexible and durable hose.

Received as expected. The1/2” X 24” size was perfect for my application and It came with conversion fittings to 3/4” which was nice in case you need it. In my case the incoming gas pipe was 3/4” so that saved me from a trip to the hardware store.

Worked well for my application (Jotul gas stove).

This seems a little expensive for a gas line at first, but it's even more expensive to buy a cheaper one at the store and then replace that one with this one like I did. The standard gas appliance connector I used on my fire pit made an intolerable whistling noise, even at low gas flows. No whistle at all with this one.
