951L Large Half Barrel with Flip Lid

Love! Love ! Love!I wanted to have a container to hold the dog food in the mud room that wasn’t an eye sore like the huge plastic tubs. I saw this and instantly knew what to do to make this fit in. It’s great rustic wood work. This is not meant to be perfect. It adds character and can be painted anyway you want. I did seal the seams with white paintable chalking on the outside. Mostly the back outside flat surface where it meets the curve of the barrel. I then lightly sanded and painted. The sign pet food sign was in the barrel and the quality on the wood burning was fantastic. It’s not shown here since it’s still drying.

We had a half barrel just like this one for about 15 years. We loved storing dog food in it. Unfortunately we had a fire in our house and the smoke discolored the barrel and we were afraid to put food in it because of the smoke so we bought another one. This one my husband sealed so if we ever have another fire it will be protected. We love the look of the half barrel. It keeps the dog food fresh. We are so glad we were able to find another one of these pet food half barrels. Years ago we gave one to our son for his dogs and his still looks new. We definitely recommend this storage bin.

We have one of these barrels from about 10 years ago and love it. We needed another one, but can no longer order direct from the manufacturer. The newer one that I just received is much smoother wood, so not so many snags on clothes and other things (old barrel is rough cut, this has been sanded). Also, I noticed folks complained about the barrel tag that hangs off, this one matches the product photo and says pet food. If that's not what you want to use it for, you can customize the other side.

These are a bit pricy but are well made and functional. Great looking too. We had our first one for over 15 years.

Love love love my Barrell!!! I stained with a dark grey oil based furniture stain, and after aging a label off my favorite bourbon bottle, I decoupaged it onto the small wood sign provided with the purchase. It fits in perfect with my rustic decor of my kitchen rehab, and will be a great way to hide my dog food in fashionable way!

Just received it today. Was not expecting unfinished wood and no " pet food" writing on the detachable sign, so I guess I'd need to carve/ burn it myself? For the price I've paid I expected a bit more. But, all in all, it seems sturdy. Food has to be bagged inside, since the lid is not tight. Will probably stain mine eventually.

This is the second Large Half Barrel with Flip Lid I've purchased from UnbeatableSale Inc., and both times I have been impressed with the quality, service and overall look of the product I've received. The first one was purchased about a year ago, and it still functions and looks brand new. I decided to get another one for storage purposes as it goes with the decorating theme of my house (Tuscan Winery), and I was so excited it was delivered 1.5 weeks early! How's that for customer service! I am so happy with this purchase and my experience, I wanted to share. I will most definitely be buying from them again.

Needs some polyurethane to keep moisture from soaking in the wood. The food crumbs also fall out bottom seams. I like the look but not functional. Very expensive for what you get.
