Does the mattifying primer contain spf? in the brochure, the blurring primer is stated to contain spf20 but not the mattifying one?

No, it doesn't. Only the original 'smoothing' primer has spf20. Elaine (Avon rep for over 20 years).

Is this supposed to be sealed when you take the lid off?

Not anymore. These and other products e.g. bubble bath are no longer sealed to be more green.
