Works nicely IF you read the instructions
If you look at some of the other reviews, you'll see they complain that the alarm on this timer is very soft or not there at all. I had the same problem and was ready to return it.Then I read the instructions. It works like no other timer I've ever used. Don't just turn the knob to the time you want - instead, you have to turn the knob all the way to the maximum time, and then turn it *backwards* to the time you want. I guess this charges the spring that drives the alarm. When you do it that way, it all works fine and the alarm is plenty loud. But there is no indication on the alarm itself, and who would ever think to look at the directions for something so apparently simple?Minus one star for poor user interface design. But once you figure it out, it works fine, and it's cheap. So 4 stars left, not bad.

Loved it until it crapped out a year later (almost to the day)
I love the fact that it's 120 minutes. This is hard to find. The bell/buzz is loud and easy to hear from a couple rooms away. I am extremely ADHD and have forgotten/burned more things cooking, that I care to admit. A good timer is critical for reminding me there is something cooking, that needs to be checked. That said, I purchased it in December of 2017, and in December of 2018, it died. I am about to order a new one, and will get the same model. I hope it lasts longer, but if it does not, $9 is still a good price.

Finally, a timer that's more than one hour
Timers with countdowns of more than 60 minutes are rare, so this 2-hour timer is very handy to anybody needing to time 90- or 120-minute time periods. The ringer is clear--I measured it at about 60-65 decibels. That's loud enough to give you a jolt if you're in the same room, and audible a couple rooms down, but probably not if you're on a different floor of the house or outside. My only quibble is that the tiny font of the minutes on the face of the timer, the totally white "hand" (knob) of the timer, and the low slope of the face make it difficult to glance from a distance of more than three feet (with 20/20 vision) at how far along you are with the countdown. But I'll probably get a better feel for the appearance over time.

Timer not useful for my purpose.
Sorry - wanted easy to use and very accurate 2 hr timer for testing blood sugar. It was very hard for me to turn - 1 hour timers are very easy. It ran 2 hrs 9 minutes for a 2 hour setting (checked several times) - did not want the extra 9 minutes. I returned it. It is attractive but not useful to me.

Easy to use. Works Great. Noisy ticking
This timer is easy to use for people who are not gadget oriented. It works great and has a large display but does have a loud ticking noise that continues until the timer is done.

120 Minutes Strong!
This basic timer works great...very accurate, and I LOVE that it times 120 min.! The only downside is that the switch is too small to grasp easily. My hands slip off if I'm not paying attention when I set it. However, I shopped online far and wide and was sold on this one for function and price. I still am!

It didn't work which is unfortunate because it's a good brand affordable and most importantly it's a timer longer than 1 hour (very hard to find). I never got it to work. it would wind down and when it reaches zero it would fart out a short little ring and that would be it. it would keep on ticking though which i thought was weird. and then eventually the tick would stop so I never quite knew if it was measured correctly. I returned it but would've liked to give it another try if amazon had the option to replace it.

Timer works great
My mother needed a 2 hour timer for potty training her puppy. This item works perfectly for that and obviously many other "time" needs. Product was a good value and works great.
