These arrived scratched up. The box they come in is nice and sturdy (with European pricing printed on it), but it wasn't taped shut so the knives had moved out of their slots and were scratching up against each other, the paint on the blades was flaking off and there were cuts from the blades on some of the handles. I don't know what kind of paint is used on them, but it isn't solid all the way through the blade, the paint flakes came off on my hand, as I was looking at them. The yellow knife handle has a red smear from rubbing against one of the red handles. I was planning to use these on a magnetic wall mount in a vacation rental property, but if they got this banged up in shipping, I don't see them looking nice for long in a vacation rental. I received these knives at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

The knifes are very pretty and very sharp. I have only just got them. Right out of the package there are a few spots where the paint is not on the blade. I will update the review after I have used it more. My only concern is the paint chipping into whatever I am cutting. I absolutely love these knifes. I received knife set at a promotional rate in exchange for my unbiased review. I was totally blown away by the quality and performance of these knives. I've never owned colored knives and I was a little concerned that I would have paint chips in food, but that has not happened. The knife set was delivered and they looked just like the pictures. BEAUTIFUL! This 7 piece kitchen knife set includes an 8 Inch Chef Knife, 8 Inch Bread Knife, 8 Inch Slicer Knife, 5 Inch Utility Knife, 4.5 Inch Pizza Knife (pizza knife actually has the word pizza carved on it), Peeler and 3.5 Inch Paring Knife. These knifes are super SHARP! Knife blades are made from high quality stainless steel with colorful non-stick coating. I have used mine for slicing/chopping meats, veggies and fruit. Slices very easily, chops even better. Dishwasher was not recommended, so I have used soap and water - immediately hand drying knives after washing as instructed. This is the only downside of this product, it's a little time consuming washing and drying after each use. I'm giving product a 4 for this reason only. I would highly recommend this product for someone looking for a nice set of sharp knives.

I needed to replace our set of knives i originally got from target 10 years ago when I got married. I got a knife sharpener but could not get our knives sharp enough. I ordered these as a replacement and am very happy with them. I am no knife expert, but these cut through a tomato and the skin of a sausage smoothly which is what I was looking for. I saw a test once for a VERY expensive and sharp knife that could slice through a piece of card board being held on the end with one hand like it was butter. This did not pass that test, but then again this whole set cost a fraction of what that one knife did ;-) I really like that they are stylish and come with really comfortable handles. I think this set is perfect for:- Couples starting out- Sprucing up a dull kitchen if you are not an aspiring chef- kitchens with a magnetic knife bar- white ikea kitchen or other very modern designsI received these knives at a discount in exchange for an honest review

THese are bbeeauuuttiiffuuulllllllll. first off.secondly, they are super sharp and slice through almost anything like butter. i cut a fresh pineapple with ease and efficiency. I'd totally recommend this set for anyone.
